I'm ok, just lonely. Trying to look at all the good instead of bad. Winter is rough though, man I'll tell you what!

If that's true, I need to get serious about relocating to a warm climate. This is some bad stuff.

Hi H...

Sorry - I am usually around at the time you posted that message, but I have really been overdoing it for the last 2 weeks which meant my going to sleep a lot earlier than usual - and coming on here in the evening later than usual. Hope you had a good day. Looking for the positive can be very difficult sometimes. I myself have slipped a bit in doing just that but the reason being is that I have been working ever hour God gave. I don't care much for money as I am not a materialistic person, so I don't know why I am doing it all. These lessons are life-long. We are always learning as we go.

Great words from the Hatster there - we have only got it worse to come :)

Cheers Hat!!

Sorry H.... end of a very hard week, but I have just described a lovely picture of the view from my home in the Summerland in my daily message to LDN. Gail is very fortunate to have seen some amazing things in recent times which would make the more hardened skeptic question their principles.

I am sure you have said before, but whereabouts are you in the States that causes things to be so cold? Here in the UK it is still hanging on at around 10deg C, which is quite remarkable for this time of the year.

OK - and if you want cheering up, I will tell you what happened to my friend today. He had an appointment to get some glands checked that had appeared right by his er, testicular region. The doctor he had seen up until now was the textbook, balding, overweight chap you might expect of the UK health service... but no, he wasn't available today. So instead, he had to "endure" his assistant... long black curly hair, deep set eyes, perfect cheekbones and along with the usual white coat was wearing skin-tight jeans. My friend was then in a situation whereby said doctor had to touch and feel his testicular region for a good few minutes... I will leave the rest to your imagination... poor bloke :)

I'm not sure where I'd like to relocate myself Coastal for sure, but which? Likely Cali for the milder weather.

Fh it feels like that sometimes. You remember it once was, and hope it shows up again soon... if it still exists. We know it's behind all the cloud cover. Good metaphor for where I am in my life's journey. I am at the point of clearing the old stuff to make way for the brighter days ahead! How's that for a positive spin!

Goodness knows how, but we have missed the snow entirely over here! There have been times when it has arrived around March but we won't mention that!!

Oh Lovey I feel for you. I grew up in the Chicago burbs and lived in the city until last year when my husband and I moved here to SF. I really blew it by trying to get off Cymbalta during this huge change as it's prevented us from really settling into our new city and we really don't have much of a support system here, BUT I really can't complain about the weather. We go out for walks nightly and go on longer hikes every weekend which is so helpful right now. SF is no LA, it's definitely cooler here but it doesn't go below 50s during the day and it's reliably very steady (the constant ups and downs in the midwest were really hard on me). Oh and it's SO BEAUTIFUL here! It's winter and its lush and green everywhere :)

Frog thank you for the information. I am researching landing spots once I'm able to fledge this place. It's nice but my heart yearns for the ocean, beach sand and sun. Thanks for the input. Xo

Iun, i don't even mind snow so much as the flat vacant gray sky. I'm off to dreamland now where I will be at the beach.

We get a fair few of those over here to... and today, following a January of being between 10-14 deg C, it suddenly drops to 2 deg C!!

You never know when "winter" is going to hit the UK. We've had snow in late April before... go figure!

All things we happily left behind when we fled Chicago! Turns out this is a "cold" winter here in the Bay and it hasn't gone below 50 during the day.

With that said, Lovey I think you'd love San Diego! Northern California is too cold to go swimming, plus it's just crazy expensive up here. But I hear San Diego is amazing

A lot of people have told me san diego area sounds right for me. Gonna try to take a short trip out this year some time. Oceanside and san Clemente been suggested too. I at least want to visit big sur sometime also. My line of work is transplantable. Custom art. Side gigs: teaching local art classes, model home hosting, dog walking. I think it's doable. I ship nationwide and have a quickly growing online presence.
By the way. Its day 8 of no sun. My skin is turning pallid and gray. Someone please lift the veil of cloud cover. good night all.

By the way i had a bout of vertigo again today. Peanut butter is now off my menu for the foreseeable future. high fungal properties that cause fungus to settle in my ears, increasing the vertigo and amplifying sounds. Increase in anxiety as well. had the peanut butter yesterday and last night and today, the aftermath. Only one tablespoon. Not the first time for this reaction. i try to reintroduce it every 7-8weeks but so far no good.

Good grief H....

Who'd have thought it?! Peanut butter rocks!

But it just shows you what the seemingly mundane foodstuffs can do for those of whose systems have be sensitised by the likes of certain medicinal flavors...
