Yes - the finest compendium of antidepressant withdrawal information is now available in a fully compiled and referenced eBook!

Following the fine work FishingHat has put in gathering the information together, I have compiled it all into one 395-page 666-page (!) document to use for reference. All of the links have been updated and is fully searchable quickly and easily.

To those who reference this to users, please feel free to post them towards this post, or take a note of the link where they can download the eBook themselves.

Well done IUN. A much more user friendly format easier to read and it doesn't contain my spelling, grammatical and typing errors. LOL I applaud your work, a job well done.

Some kind words from Overwhelmed;

"Hat...Oh. My. Gosh. I downloaded the ebook & whenever I’m able to, I’ve been reading. And reading. Thank you so very, very much. I’m in absolute awe of you & your vast knowledge! And your generosity, for sharing that knowledge. IUN did such a wonderful job of putting it together, it’s so easy to find exactly what you’re looking for. This should be mandatory reading for every dr with a prescription pad BEFORE prescribing Cymbalta or giving willy-nilly tapering or cold turkey instructions."

As the research in the ebook shows the information is all in the medical journals for the drs to read BUT when would they have time to read that research on Cymbalta let alone all the other meds and conditions they treat. An impossible task for a doctor I am afraid.

Quite - but as you and I have discussed previously in the past Hat, this does not excuse the medical profession giving out instructions without first understanding the protocols  they ask their patients to follow, and the subsequent damage such events can cause. I can't for one moment recall a medical professional saying that he/she did not know of something, and that they would need to check before further advising. GP's over here get a 5 minute window (in most cases) to get the patient in and out of the surgery. I won't go any further down this road as you can all see where it is leading.

In a ideal world Overwhelmed has a very valid point as it would save so many problems that arise from these drugs, but God forbid that the medical community turn to a forum for advice on their practice!!

I don't want to put in a credit card to join this Scribed website. Is this the only place your ebook exists?

Kathy, I access this ebook all the time with the above link and never have to sign in or pay anything. I am not as much of a computer geek as IUN so he may be able to help you with that.

When the page comes up you will see the spot that says "Download". Do not click there. If you simply scroll down the page you will see the document. Try that.

Check back in a few days when I have finished the update.

I can see the document by scrolling, but I don't see a way to download it. It's on the website, but chapter by chapter so the only way I can read it is to be online.

Yea, I want everything for free! lol

I'm still in the process of reading the e-book, but really great work so far! Thanks to FH/IUN for putting this together. I'm learning a lot and getting good ideas for how to support myself during tapering down.

I wanted to see how to possibly add a warning to the section on St.John's Wort? I studied herbalism + worked as an herbalist at a clinic for a few years, and one of the things I learned about St.John's Wort is that it is contraindicated to take along with ANY other medications. It has an effect on the speed at which the liver metabolizes substances, but in an unpredictable way....so for some people, they will find that they process something faster, others more slowly. This could be a problem, as it could mean that someone would end up with too much of a medication in their system, or not enough. Just wanted to share this with you, but happy to search for the proper documentation if you would like that!

There is a warning in the ebook against taking SJW with any serotonin related drugs like antidepressants (possible serotonin syndrome) but you bring up a good point. There are other classes of drugs that are processed b y the same cyp enzymes as SJW and should be avoided. I will dig up the ionformation and be sure it gets in the next addition. Good catch and thank you.

I just went in to the link and it worked fine. I could even do a search. I suspect that IUN saw your post and fixed it.
