Why did no-one mention this when I was using my plate, eh?? :)

You didn't use a white plate did you?

Someone told me that they put their beads in the freezer and that stopped static cling, but do that after opening the capsules and putting the beads in a different container. I found that the capsules were difficult to open if they had been stored in the freezer.

In my experience, most wouldn't give it the time of day. I have a letter sent to my doctor telling him that I am to refrain from using the Internets (yes, plural!!) for advice.

Don't think we need more evidence on the intelligence of some of these people to whom we entrust our mental health...

Thanks for the tips, I will try the black t-shirt this evening 😊. As for me, my trust in those people is really gone.

HaHaHa………………

You got to be kidding. I have had somewhere around 10 pdocs. (lost count) and often bring them articles from the medical journals that would apply to my specific situation only to find in ALL cases they weren't aware of the article. My old endocrinologist who recently retired Was in his office at 6 AM and left his office around 7 or 8 PM 5 days a week.

Hi everyone, I have been taking 100 beads every day up till today. The nasty mini withdrawal effects I have experienced for far too long are now almost completely gone. My only problem now is that I haven't received my order for empty acid resistant capsules yet. So I am only left with the saved beads but no means to ingest them. I pray that I will get them tomorrow but I am scared to death of those withdrawal effects. I have been searching the internet for a local provider of empty acid resistant capsules (the Netherlands) but was only able to find offers where I am supposed to dip them myself in the fluid to make them resistant so I ordered them from the UK. What if I don't get them by tomorrow??

Great news Bastet - I was sure you would find relief soon.

If you don't get your capsules in time, there is the option of apple sauce. Not ideal, but better than not taking them.

I guess gelatin capsules is better than no capsules. Don't you have any compounding pharmacies there? Many of the compounding pharmacies in the US carry empty capsules and a few carry enteric coated capsules. Where I live they charge you for a significant quantity but if you just need a few to get by they will usually give you 5 or 6.

No, I searched for the last 3 days. I thought that the gelatin caps were not good for Cymbalta (at least that's what I read in other topics here) because the drug needs to reach the intestins ?

You would be right Bastet - gelatin breaks down before it reaches the stomach, which is where it needs to get to.

As Hat says, gelatin is better than nothing, but knowing what we do, I would opt for the apple sauce if the caps do not arrive in time.

Thank you so much to the both of you. Luckily I do have applesauce in house. I will then take a tablespoon of applesauce with the 100 beads in it.

One of the many things I love about the Netherlands

Hello Bastet,

I'm ashame to say that I didn't know where the Netherlands were. So I checked it out! Beautiful country. Highest rank for quality of life and for happiness and more.

So, make place, I'm coming!lol! And what is fritessaus? Frite sauce probably.Or IUNs invention?

Do you speak French? Ah, Bastet, I am in love with your country! Love!

A number of people know it as Holland rather than The Netherlands. Interesting factoid about quality of life there Gail. Not surprising given all the lovely food they have, and the amount of, er, stuff that people partake of. What is also amazing is how many Dutch speak English! And very intelligently as well. I have a friend who has taught herself, and when she couldn't remember the word for "supermarket" she called it the food library :)

I wish fritessaus was my invention!!

Hello Gail! Thanks for the praises, I too love this country although I wasn't born here. I originally come from the south of France so yes, I do speak French 😁. Dutch cuisine is a quite limited but there a lots of great products to choose from in supermarkets. Then, there is that fried food culture 😁. Just a question of finding a healthy balance! Fritessaus is a kind of mayonnaise, not a big fan! You definitely should come and visit, so many beautiful places to see!

Hi everyone!I am back after a full month taking 100 beads a day. I feel more balanced emotionally and dizziness is almost completely gone. I want to start reducing the amount of beads. How many do you think I should take out per week/month? I hope that you are all doing well. Many thanks for your help

Glad to hear it - and thanks for the update. Always good when we hear that a member starts to feel back on track.

Only you will know when you are ready to start the bead drop, and if you are feeling that you are there, then lets give it a go. Now it is always better to start slow and then increase if you feel you are able, but I think we should start at 1 bead/day and see how you go. This will give you a 3 month ween which is fairly standard from 100 beads for the amount of time on them.

Even if you start to feel OK doing this, remember that it gets more difficult as you approach the zero and the drop becomes greater - for example, 1 bead out of 100 is 1%, but 1 bead out of 2 is 50%, so it increases 0.5% each day, which is known as your "drop rate". You may find that you need to have an extra day or two between drops after 2 months, but see how it goes.

Will let FishingHat consider this too - he should be along shortly.

Hi Bastet

Glad you are ready to start weaning. I agree with IUN. No more than 1 bead a day until you see how you do. Please keep us posted.

Bonjour Gail ! Hi IUN and Fishing hat!
Thank you so much for your ongoing support and encouragement. I will start dropping one bead a day, listening very closely to my body reactions. I wish you all well 🌺

Hi everyone!
Just dropped in to let you know that thanks to you, I made it. I am free of cymbalta since August. I can't begin to describe how relieved I feel after years of slavery to that drug. The tips, encouragement and support you all provided was so valuable to me. You do an incredible job here. God bless and thank you again. Iris
