Again, wish I had an answer to the overthinking part. All I do is seem to look for answers as often as I can.

It must be something to do with the way our brains are currently wired. We just cannot accept not having an answer - just like you are trying to find an endpoint for your symptoms. This is not just you, I do it - and most of the others that have been active on this forum would also have done in.

This is how we work as humans. If there is something wrong, we NEED an answer. Even if there isn't one, we still keep looking to the point that it becomes an obsession.

You are nothing short of normal my friend.

AxleJames,

I just sent you a private message. You'll see the number 1 marked on the envelope at your upper right, if you want to answer back, just click on the envelope again. Love, Gail

Same here, up since 3.30 am. Good thing that I no longer work.

I forgot to ask you this, do you have a good relationship with your doctor? Do you trust her, is what I mean.

"I hope to get grounded at some point and to stop overthinking so much"

Good man - proud of your thinking like this.

I am happy to report that I had a much better day yesterday after I got over my shakes. So the better times are out there. It is good to have the occasional reminder, just so I know my brain is capable of having a normal day!!

OK - so another stressy point with the doctor. Just make sure you keep her well informed. It took me a lot of effort to talk to the right p-doc over here and it can be frustrating. Little by little you will start checking these off. Just try to be aware as much as you can of taking on new stresses.

We're all here for you.

Dear Axle, it's getting slowly better. You had a good and positive start of your day.

Keep hoping that with moments like these, there will be more and more.

Glad you had that little bit of light.

Out of interest, what was this co-worker saying that you think may have set you off?

So I have been trying to take everyone's advice and steer away from such deep conversations or even thinking about death and the afterlife and whether there is one or not and this co worker who was just making polite conversation started talking about a book he was reading about death and planes of existence and re in carnation and it got me to over thinking about what if people are wrong what if this it this everything and then I started to like extreme focus on myself and the point of my existence in this spot right now and just hyper focused on reality

You have got yourself in a bit of a pickle with this afterlife stuff.

Problem is, we are never going to know. Faith is our only proof. I have thought about it a lot, read so many books, blogs and papers. But whatever the outcome, we are all in the same boat in this respect.

Thinking about these sort of things when you are in this frame of mind will not help dude. Really wish I knew how to help you further...

AxleJames,

When I cry and cry, I feel better after wards. Always. But then I don't have a spouse.
It releases stress hormones, you're right.

Such a situation that is retarding your recovery. Pity that you can't move out for a while.
But have you discussed her moving out to her mom's for a while?

I'm so sorry that you have to endure this. I hope that something positive comes out of this situation. Who knows? Be strong AxleJames, I'm praying for you. Love, Gail

"...when i cry or get anxious i get stressed which means my body releases stress hormones well when the feelings pass the stress hormones are still going through my body how do i get them out"

Ah that is exactly correct and if I could find away to control or minimize those stress related compounds I would be very very rich.

Rough guidelines is up to 3 months (at the most). Some report effects within 4-6 weeks, but I put this largely down to placebo effect myself. I would say the full effect should surface between 8-12 weeks, so you are not quite there yet.

But, did you start on 30mg from the off? Or were you on a smaller dose before?

Sorry I can't remember if you have said this before - head is in a very strange place (last pill day for me...)

"stressed myself out about being stressed"

I had the same thing with an anxiety book not to long back. I just got anxious about reading about anxiety.

It sounds like you are suffering from oversensitization, When your nerves get so much stimulation, they end up being on red alert 24/7. Happens to me and it is so tiring.

You need to walk away from it for a while. Give your head a break from questions for a while if you can - as difficult as it can be. Giving it more to think about will only cause it to go further into overdrive.

Over sensitization is a scary thing at first, but you will come to no harm.

This can be from anything that has recently caused you to active a "stress response" from your brain. It just waves a flag and says, ok this is how we are gonna play it, so I will be freaking out at everything now.

You need to reverse this so you start "remembering" how to relax again.

I will start with laying down in a comfortable position and do deep breathing. Then will either read some fantasy book or listen to some chill out or binaural beats on youtube. But I have to give myself at 10 minutes or so before I start to get the slightest glow of relaxing, but it does come, and your brain will switch off. At the moment, it just doesnt want to!

Bloody good plan. Take your phone or tablet and play some binaural beats while you are soaking...

Gotta sleep, but will catch up tomorrow.

All the best man.
