AJ

Remember..

Isiah 41:10

Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

I went through months of fear, anxiety and suffering with my withdrawal. All my education would have been worthless in helping other Cymbalta sufferers without that experience. God will answer your prayers but in His own time. He could have ended my suffering in a month's time but the long suffering caused me to be determined to help others as much as I can.

It may not feel like it but he is with you and is there to comfort you..

Fish I needed this today I keep putting myself in situations where I overthink things I shouldn't I feel like I'm living like I'm 56 instead of 36 have you or anyone else had that feeling like just scared to make any move because it might change to much or harm you in some way I feel like I'm not even able to live my life

I did. And I soon realized that I had to adapt to survive. I had little control of my life when in withdrawal. My therapist had me go into what she called 'isolation'. No going out, no visitors, no phone calls, nothing. Just peace and quiet and relaxation. I found that if I tried to break that routine I would pay a price. That was my new reality until things got better.

59? I can't even remember back that far.

Just dropping in to see you Axle.

Sounds like we are in a similar position again today. But I have made myself go out - only for a couple of hours. Went to see a friend and picked up some bread and eggs. It is the only way out of anxiety. Stare it right in the face and get on with it. Man is it difficult thou. Back home with the wife and totally shattered.

All we know is that 'hat is older than us! I have 5 years on you Axle, but like you say, it seems a lot more today!

p.s. Lovely verse there 'hat. Thanks for posting.

Only if you are low in them.

NO VITAMIN OR MINERAL SHOULD BE TAKEN WITHOUT FIRST TAKING BLOOD TESTS TO DETERMINE IF THEY ARE NEEDED.

Vitamins like D and B6 have a high occurrence of toxicity as does calcium, magnesium and iron but most have some risk of toxicity. Even Zinc can be toxic. It can be found in ointments for acne, shampoos and denture creams to name a few. It is easily absorbed through the skin and over dose causes severe anxiety. Blood test first.

Completely. Hallmark of depression symptoms.

You would usually release serotonin when playing the game, and therefore you enjoy it.

Someone who does not enjoy playing videos games would say exactly what you have just said, that they would be wasting their time. This is because they have no serotonin buzz from it - just like you do not have at the moment.

She had family over yesterday and is more than likely, and understandably, tired.

Bless her little cotton socks.

We all wish her a blissful slumber.

Oh man. I am so sorry.

Have you suggested couples counselling?

No point in tell you not to think about it; this is simply not possible. My best advice is one day at a time, or even one hour at a time. Plan from one moment to the next and keep yourself busy.

5 months on cymbalta, scary side effects, to get help and to return the favor if I can.

Posted 05 November 2018 - 08:15 AM

Hello AxleJames,

Scrat was right about the family, I was so done that I slept it off with Acorn right beside me.

AxleJames, I posted a topic entitled Dear Caregiver, to be found in family support.
It would an excellent topic for your wife to read. Excellent!
If you have a printer, print it and let her read it please.

Does she know that you are on the forum? If not, print it to keep your privacy.
Don't let your chance to save your marriage pass, this article would help her greatly.
With love, Gail

I don't know what to say. I am not sure there is anything to say. It shows an insensitivity to what you are going through for sure. Many do not understand the severity of withdrawal and she has her own issues as well. Good luck AJ. Don't forget, we are always here.

You might need to see a psychologist to help talk you through this.

AxleJames, do crawl into your bed and cry like you never cried. This will ease tension, promise.

You don't need to adjust, this is temporary. I wish Axle that you take the time to show this article to your wife, and of course, read it yourself. It will HELP.

By the way, does your wife want a divorce because of what withdrawal is doing to you?

Cry, cry, let it all flow! It's, again, temporary. But you do need meds to help you through.
I insist on that Axle. Look at all the meds Fishinghat took to finally ease his pain.

Yes, as IUN mentioned, adrenaline from stress will divert blood flow away from some parts of the body and toward other parts of the body to facilitate the "fight or flight" response.
