I'm borderline but at a medium level. There are 10 or 12 criterias to be borderline . Don't worry about that Axle. It's not worth it.
Tell me now, besides this borderline thing that is far from the end of the world, what else did you come up with?

"The length of the corrected QT (QTc) interval has many factors, including electrolyte abnormalities, a diurnal effect, race, autonomic fluctuations, ECG variability and human error. Medications can also cause a prolongation of the QTc interval."
This includes stress, antidepressants and withdrawal. very common and with time should resolve. Many people also develop trigeminal rhythm, proventricular contractions (PVCs) and other abnormal heart beats during severe withdrawal. They normally go away when the withdrawal subsides.

Axle....
Just got back in from work and been catching up on todays goings-on. And I really want to thank you for your kind words. They mean a lot. Our little family here is wonderful, and I am thankful everyday for being able to talk with you all.
I think I have had 4 EKG's in the last few weeks. They have become routine now! Fortunately never anything to be alarmed about, but I read up as much as I could all the same, and 'hat is right - medicines can of course cause readings to go awry. My citalopram for one is a big culprit - and the reason why they cut the maximum dose from 60mg to 40mg, and why people over 60 are limited to even less. Other AD's (and similar meds) have the same effect, but to varying degrees.
It sounds like the EKG threw you a bit, and that is surprising is you are not used to it, but hopefully you can now see that the worst part of it is having to rip off the damn sticky sensors afterwards!
We are both in the same boat this evening mate. My anxiety is through the roof after the last few days of multiple stresses. We just gotta keep going.

Quite sure the GAD is from withdrawal - just as mine is. I would just like a little break from it so I know the "real me" is capable of coming back!!
Test results indeed can be anxiety provoking.
The first one I had a few weeks ago, the medic looked very closely at the results - for a good minute I'd say. I was sh*ting myself! He then turned to me and said "Are you aware that you have a right bundle branch blockage in your heart?".
A WHAT!!! I freaked!!!
The medic said to calm down and that it was alright. The guy had just used the words "blockage" and "your heart" in the same sentence!!! Who wouldn't freak out!!
Apparently a RBBB is perfectly fine - although a left-BBB is a problem. It is where the electrical signals controlling the valves have to re-route causing a very slight delay, and is genetic. Causes no risk whatsoever. Still took me a while to calm down.
Best thing I find to do, is to read up on these things. A sound knowledge base can be very useful when it comes to health scares.
Saying that, I am still freaking out about my tight chest even though I know it is just contracting muscles and cannot harm me at all. But hey, welcome to GAD!!

I'm still here mate... and don't worry about posting this.
I really feel for you, and know first hand. My last partner was exactly the same. When we met, she herself was overcoming a batch patch of depression and I did all I could to help her out. But then when I had my first episode, her compassion lasted about a month before she was just telling me she couldn't cope and I just needed to pull myself together.
You'd be surprised just how much others have also gone thru. The problem is finding people who will open up and share. I am perfectly happy to do this, as is Gail, Pobes, Dr Hat....
One way or another, we all have been through it, but it is this that brings us together... and together we can do all we can to be strong.

That is an impossible thing to do. But be sure that God knows that and sees what's in your heart. I know what you're talking about AxleJames. Been there and still going there..
In these times, you can't access to the spiritual dimension. Try as you may. God knows that.
Be sure that it will come back when the time is right. From experience, it always does because it's so important to us.
Don't beat yourself up AxleJames, in these moments, when I'm in bed, I do my gratitude list even if I feel no joy. Small things, a warm bath, a comfortable bed, food in the fridge, the forum, you name it and you might find a tiny smile on your lips.
AxleJames, you are dear to us and know that we all pray for you and others!
