5 months on cymbalta, scary side effects, to get help and to return the favor if I can.

Posted 11 September 2019 - 02:44 PM

Update: spent a week in palliative care. They are so loving. Like last year, a few different workers. As usual, I felt adapted after six days.

Brain scan, normal
Blood test, ok, slight anemia, normal for my condition.
Urine test, ok, normal for my condition.

I saw a phisiotherapist, to check my walking and a few other things.

Cancer is progressing, walking the stairs is hard, shallow breathing.

Last, they changed the Ativan 1mg to clonazepam .5 not much difference.

Fishinghat, change straight to clonazepam, does that seem ok?

AM. Clonazepam .5
PM. Same. Thoughts please!

Great to hear from you Gailage! Sounds like you are being well looked after and that puts my mind at ease.

Clonazepam is a bit longer lasting and has less of a withdrawal that Ativan, but with regards to the straight switch between them, I do not know, so yes, better one for Hat to answer as benzos are more his speciality.

So good you are having all these tests and they are considering the best course for your meds. I hope they are feeding you well in there too. Did they allow room for Acorn and Chin chin, or are they looking after the apartment while you are on pally vacation?! :)

Thinking of you and praying for you every day my love.

Thanks fishinghat and Scrat! Acorn has left for his planet, he couldn't deal with everything being to Fast. Chin chin has left for my sister in law, she loves him.

And back to my own planet, I have seen it all, there's a psych ward there. My heart goes out to them. When we think that we're in the bottom, after seeing this, we are not.

Gail, just read through this whole thread.  I did not know you were ill.  Thank you dearly for all the compassion and love you've shown me, my daughter and the many, many others on this site.  You have done so much "good" in the world, I believe it will come back to you in spades!

Hi guys I have a message that gail has asked me to post. It is below:

Been here for 11-12 days. Comfortable. What brought me in was water between the !ung and la plevre.

They are waiting for me to have another episode to put a permanent drain which would be emptied by a nurse at home. my physical exam everyday proves to be perfect except for the right lung.

I'm not suffering at all, might say that I'm having fun. Love to all!

Those words are like music to my ears. Thanks so much for sharing brother.

Regardless of that, my prayers for her continue whether she wants them or not!!! :D

My dear Liz, this is not an easy one. I should be out by the end of the week. Heading in palliative care is far from joyous, on 10 beds, four leave every day to heaven. Lots of tears, so sensitive. Even for people we don't know. We have communion about three times a week.

Test have started for. The waters in the lungs. Good, an ocean in there. No fishing Fishinghat, prayers will do. Thank you. Back to outside. Love to all.

Just got home from my 26 days of vacation. High time, I had it full my ass. 15 days for nothing due to a stupid doctor. Good thing my doctor looked and check. no need to wait till another crisis to put the drain. On the operation table yesterdAy, he gave me the
Pros and cons of a permanent drain , when he said no more bath, no more swimming but no more baths, I need bath, they call me down.

My son is not happy with that decision. The good one is that I'll have a training every two weeks if called for..

Of course I forgot my charger at the hospital, will by a new one.

I'll still follow the forum but less. Love you all, Gail

Hey Gailage - thank you so much for taking time to update us all here. Lots of thoughts and prayers.

Shame about the bath situation as I know that you enjoy your bathing. But it could have been far worse in that they could have told you to no longer eat brownies!! Imagine that!!

Understand that you will be here when you can, and that your energy must be used as you best need it - and again, lovely to hear from you my sweet - fills me with so much happiness to see this appear at my inbox! No doubt I speak for everyone though... especially our LDN!!

God Bless you chere...

Scrat

Thank you Liz. It's been a while with no updating.
All I can do is keep my eyes open before going for a siesta!

The. Nutritonnist, came this morning , I should Have stayed in bed..I feel safe there. Of course, they weight you. That caused a great commotion inside. 15 pounds than two weeks ago.
No wonder I'm lacking energy, food just disgusts me,but popsicles..,.

I would need a someone to write in my place.

I edited this post, so many faults in the grammar. I love you all, you are left with Fishinghat, a good guy except when he cuts his grass in his pink G string
?????lol and of course Scrat our squirrel that is giving all he can to the forum.

Absolutely Hat - couldn't have found better words.

Gailage, upsetting to hear about the energy, but the determination and effort that you put in just getting that post to us here at the forum is HUGE. But this is just the kind sweet soul that you are. You have done so much for people, and still do.

Just remember what I said a while back about the cup of tea. Even when the tea bag has been used, the tea lives on in the nourishment of those who drink of the tea, that then spreads to others. Everything you have ever said and done here at the forum will live on in them all. You may have little energy at the moment, but all the energy that you put into helping others lives on in abundance and will never grow weak!!

Love you my sweet...

What a beautiful post, IUN...

Gail, we have known each other for almost 6 years now and I have never known a more loveable and sweet lady.  My prayers join the many others here who love you.

Just rest - you needn't use up your strength posting here - we know that we are in your thoughts - may God bless you and keep you and give you peace.

I send you all my love, sweet friend.

Liz

Gail, you are indeed a testament to the glory and strength of the Lord.

2 Corinthians 12:9
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

His grace and strength shines through you to others.

Rest well in knowing that the Lord is with you and will bless you.

Fishinghat,

This is so beautiful, I'm almost in shock to read your post. It stopped me in my track.

To receive such a post is mind blowing. Do I deserve this? It will give me food for thought today. Thank you my friend. Love.
