Hello, I am new here but have read through a lot of posts. Very scary. I have been on anti-depressents nearly my whole life (I'm almost 40 now) and have as recently as 2014 been on zoloft fairly sucessfully. Being stupid, and as others have done, I decided to go off all of my medicine, including Zoloft. I a year without meds (I'm also ADHD and have bad anxiety) and it was terrible. Long story short, ever since the summer of 2015 I have been on 3 other SSRI's including Lexipro, Zoloft, and Prozac. None seemed to work but being ADHD I am also impatient at times. About 3 weeks ago my Psyche Doc suggested I try Cymbalta. He started me out on 60MG. After 4 days I started experiencing vision issues, headaches, and extreme dizzyness. I downed my dose to 30 MG and have stayed at that dose until today which is about 3 weeks of being exposed to Cymbalta. I told my Doc I wanted to go back to Zoloft because it has worked for me in the past and mentioned all the bad side effects of Cymbalta. So he took me off the Cymbalta and started me on 50MG Zoloft for one week, then I will go up to 100MG of Zoloft. My question is will the terrible effects of just stopping the Cymbalta but starting another SSRI be more mild? Is 3 weeks enough time to get withdrawal from Cymbalta?

dyobcire, welcome
I think you made a good decision. At such a short time on Cymbalta the withdrawal should be minimum. It will take the Zoloft typically 3 weeks or so to begin to kick in (I am sure you know that)..
One thing about changing ssri and snri. The more often you change the more the risk they will not work or work poorly. If you get back on the Zoloft and it works then try and stick with it if you can.
