Forum Friends, I am going to post some things that helped me with dry mouth. These are only suggestions, but they may be helpful to some. Biotene products(otc) are alcohol free and made especially for dry mouth, sip water regularly, Vaseline on lips(especially at night), used a humidifier at night, rinsed with Act(otc) fluoride at night(helps reduce cavities), used mouthwash in a.m.(alcohol free with antibacterial properties), sometimes chewed xylitol gum( contains no aspartame and stimulates saliva)-you don't want to do this though if you grind your teeth. FYI- Another product containing xylitol is Oasis Moisturizing Mouth Spray, and recently Act came out with a new product called Act Total Care Dry Mouth Rinse. The bonus with this is that it also protects against tooth decay. Take care, Hyg.

Dry mouth has been a huge problem for me. I never used to get cavities, but now I get them all the time because I don't have enough saliva in my mouth.

I use Biotene, and my dentist has me on a special toothpaste.
