From 'Sweet Caroline', the soft rock hit by Neil Diamond-- released on September 16, 1969. Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of J.F.K. was the inspiration for the song; she was 11 at the time. In 2007 Neil Diamond sang the song for Caroline on her 50th birthday.

We got over another foot of snow this past weekend and it it so windy that the wind chill factor is in negative numbers. I made ice stairs by pouring a huge pan of hot water into the side of the mountain of snow that is between the front walkway and the front yard. I then flattened out the wetted snow into a step. I have 4 steps built into the snow base just to climb up onto my front lawn.

I did it because the dogs knock the snow back down Into the front path when they climb up the side wall of snow to get on front lawn(which is buried under 6 feet of snow)

I hear we are getting even more snow this week. It's like a joke that has gone on for too long.

TM - love Neil Diamond!  Saw him in concert in Tampa a few years back..

 

Renee - gads, what horrible weather - don't think I could survive another winter up there.  When I moved from Chicago to Hawaii the wind chill was -85 !

My husband and I will be in Orlando in April. The high school band and chorus are performing at Disney World. My daughter is in the band and my son is in chorus so the 4 of us will be there for 10 days

Liz, I look up the words on google, and the word oxymoron seemed so bizarre, had to know what it meant. I don't always, and FH has such an extended vocabulary, I can't keep up with him!
