lingers around
That was a fine piece of wisdom indeed Hat. We are but human.
Apologies for my late arrival. Whatever is happening in my stomach, it has got worse and am in a fair bit of pain

You (are) wonderful...
..Gailage!!
Not intestines - it is right in the middle of the stomach - the solar plexus. Just above the naval. Not one side - right in the centre. Doesn't move. Feels like stomach acid, like a really bad hunger pain. But eating, drinking, walking - nothing makes it go away.

wonderful withdrawal.
Classic withdrawal stomach pain. When that occurred with me I took zantac 150 mg, twice per day and would see symptoms start to taper off after 2 or 3 days. Zantac is also anxiolytic. The hot pad is a good idea and my gastro dr suggested hat I drink warm water instead of tap water and that did wonders for me.

Withdrawal sucks!
Looks like Zantac - or equivalent is available OTC here in UK. But could this also not be a classic side effect of starting Citalopram? I am hoping that all withdrawals are out of my system by now. Cymbalta is closing in on 4 months now and the 15>10mg Lexapro shouldn't really have delayed symptoms this long??
But if it carries on tomorrow, I will get some antacids for sure.

Sure thing...
Thanks very much Hat and well remembered on the histamines. But as far as I know, it is the H1 that is the issue with me - so H2 is an unknown. I will get the 75's and start there just in case. In addition, in the UK, Ranitidine is the non-branded Zantac and is far cheaper. Too late to arrive tomorrow, so will have to get through another 24 hours or so...
Good night Gailage - wishing you a good rest and yes - prayers coming your way shortly...

two reasons
This is the mess I now have to contend with; the symptom guessing game. Which AD caused what? All I can do is hang fire and deal with whatever is thrown at me. Relieving the physical symptoms I am sure is a good 75% of the cure now.
Oh poo - it's Monday tomorrow - where'd the weekend go?

rockin' robin
Liz will never get offended - she is nicer than a pack of new born puppies!
So - doc says I have labyrinthitis given the 17 days of dizziness following the flu, and the nausea, and the fact that I cannot focus very well.
Been given some prochlorperazine - time to do some homework before popping any of these.
Dr Gailage did pick up on this the other day - she was right!!

Done my homework and I really don't like the look of them given what people have said regarding side effects - especially those prone to anxiety. However, they are indeed used for labyrinthitis... but according to sources, valium works just as well and with far less side effects. So given the choice, I'd much rather stick with something that I know I can tolerate.
Personally, I still think it has a lot to do with AD's and withdrawal as I do not have any hearing loss...
https://www.medicine...es/pil.4553.pdf - this is the PIL from the exact pharma I have them from
"Prochlorperazine tablets belong to a group of medicines called phenothiazine tranquillisers. They may be used to treat:
• dizziness due to ear diseases (such as Meniere’s syndrome or labyrinthitis), or due to other causes
• nausea and vomiting including during a migraine
• mental illnesses (such as schizophrenia and mania)
• anxiety in the short term"
