glass broken

All of the calls have been to banks where I have credit cards and another to Mid Florida Credit Union attempting to up credit card limits and a loan from the Credit Union.  Talked to both of my sons last nite and they both said I am doing the right things to try to scrape up money

Don't think I will have that many to make today - thankfully

Gail, how are you doing as far as pain?  Praying for you daily

I start physical therapy tomorrow but don't feel that I will need it - after 2 shots (each different) from the Pain Mgmt doc, I have little pain - I feel  like a new person!

Haven't even taken car in yet - too busy with all the other crap!

Broken promise

There is a positive in all this, you feel like a new person! Yeah!

I still have pain but it's tolerable. Still on hydromorphone, lowering every week. The tiredness doesn't lessen and I still can't do much.

I lost 2 inches and 1/4, I hate that. Off to lunch now, I'm hungry!

made beaver

The Made Beaver was a unit of account used in the Hudson’s Bay Company, located in British North America. One male beaver skin collected during winter months was equivalent to one Made Beaver.

Only on TV Liz. I grew up in those years and they were just as mean as now but less drugs I will admit. Bullying was a big problem.

Now I know I'm older than you, FH!  When I was growing up we never heard of drugs and families really were like the Cleavers - all at the dinner table every nite...  Perhaps a combination of the place I grew up and how things just were there :)

The worst we ever did was drink beer!  Bullying was a word we never heard :o

Same here Liz, never heard of bullying or anything tough. Depends where you lived I guess.

On that, good morning!

My dad had a job back in the 40's and 50's that entailed starting up new offices for a large corporation. We moved every 3 months to a new location to start up another office. I remember every time we moved the bully had the new school would have his friends hold me down and then he would beat me up just to show who was in charge. Usually 5 or 6 on one. No one would stand up for a new kid, especially a short timer, against the bully. I remember one teacher getting their arm slit open by a razor blade when she got in an argument with a student. I remember at another school where a football player, just back from class, got in an argument with the school bully. The football player knocked down the school bully and stomped in the back of his head with the football cleats until the bully was dead. I went to 51 schools before graduating  high school. I could tell you a million stories like that. No drugs but a lot of bullying and violence and gangs.

Yep Liz we lived in different towns for sure.

Wow, FH, you had a nasty childhood... :o

I am so sorry - Apparently Gail and I were lucky.  And you certainly have become a wonderful, loving person in spite of those terrible experiences :D

awful fowl (that is a joke, get it, chicken, bird, fowl, ....never mind)

Eggs are very high in two proteins, globulin and keratin. When globulin begins to decay, a toxic chemical is released that’s called hydrogen sulfide, which has that very potent sulfur smell. Keratin also has very high levels of an amino acid called cysteine, which is full of sulfur atoms. When the keratin begins to break down, out comes the cysteine. Both of these proteins release that sulfurous smell, resulting in an odor that immediately tells you that this egg has gone bad. Hydrogen sulfide is the chemical compound with the formula H2S. It is a colorless gas with the characteristic foul odor of rotten eggs. It is very poisonous, corrosive, and flammable. I once had an employee that was overcome by hydrogen sulfide during a chemical reaction and he died on the spot. This compound is as toxic as cyanide!!

right on!!

Gail

Decadron Tablet (Dexamethasone) can produce reversible hypothalamic-pituitary adrenal (HPA) axis suppression with the potential for glucocorticosteroid insufficiency after withdrawal of treatment. Adrenocortical insufficiency (see definition below) may result from too rapid withdrawal of corticosteroids and may be minimized by gradual reduction of dosage. This type of relative insufficiency may persist for months after discontinuation of therapy; therefore, in any situation of stress occurring during that period, hormone therapy should be reinstituted. If the patient is receiving steroids already, dosage may have to be increased.
Adrenal insufficiency is a condition in which the adrenal glands do not produce adequate amounts of steroid hormones, primarily cortisol; but may also include impaired production of aldosterone (a mineralocorticoid), which regulates sodium conservation, potassium secretion, and water retention.[1][2] Craving for salt or salty foods due to the urinary losses of sodium is common.[3]

Side note
Psychic derangements may appear when corticosteroids are used, ranging from euphoria, insomnia, mood swings, personality changes, and severe depression, to frank psychotic manifestations. Also, existing emotional instability or psychotic tendencies may be aggravated by corticosteroids.

On you

As I said in my pm, they weaned me for two weeks after being two weeks on it. So, for that, am ok.

Going to my buddy tomorrow for one day then home. I got to be prepared for the treatment.

On that, changing the subject, Liz, what's up? Raven, hi to you Kathy I miss you. FH, still watching yourself in the mirror????

Is anybody willing to take Sid while I have my treatments? For a week? If so, I will give you the date when I get it(soon).

you bet

I am OK, Gail, but no hope for a better loan.  He said all of the duct work had to be replaced - did NOT tell me he was putting in an entire NEW AC    No wonder the cost was so high - don't understand as compressor was replaced 2 years ago

Yes, I will be happy to have Sid - Max has been missing him terribly!  He wants to share the cigars and brandy
