Colin, you made my day. Perfect picture to put on his online matching. He says thank you.
Excited he is, we'll finalize his form and send it today. By the way, I like the saying at the bottom.
BB, it's a relaxing game. All sort of real things and a lot of fabulation. Besides we get to know our people much better. Like now, you know that Fishingbrain orders his bikini strings from me, it's meant to impress his lovely wife.lol!

All of our craziness, our fabulations, our tribulations, our secrets, pains and fears are now in the open.
Let's write a book on that Liz!

Oh FH, I know how that hurts! That had me in misery for that 6 week period not long ago...I had to take Hydrocodone and even that hardly touched the pain.
Do you have a pain management doc? or can you see your GP for pain meds?
Many prayers for you, my friend

dash off
I haven't seen a dr yet. My PT tests it is due to piriformis muscle strain so I am doing home physical therapy in order to alleviate the issue. If that doesn't help it is of to the dr. Right now Volteran gel and naproxen (both anti-inflammatories) and lots of PT.

Don't forget to put cold patches for seven minutes. Wait, then the hearing pad seven minutes also. On and off, directly from the horse's mouth sitting in front of me. No forcing.
Getting ready for another medical appointment.many more to come. Nothing better yet. The cane is now part of my life.

I will never be able to work again. A few months maybe to go. They are treating me the same as they do in palleative. Keep me not pain free, but tolerable. Pain management varies from days to days.
No more weaning of this and that, lorazepam as much as I need. Nothing curable, there are desperate moments and peaceful moments. Getting ready for my last trip, and I don't want to waste my time with anxiety nor too much pain.
Too much of an important step to waste!

Soon enough.
1:13 am and I'm afraid of the nightmares I may suffer tonight, trying to wear myself out mentally so maybe I can sleep. SO far I have no major complaints, dropping from 90 to 60 and now my 3rd day of 30. I feel almost guilty that it's going so well, but I'm sure my time will come.
I wish I could reach out and hug some of you who are suffering so much. I can't believe this horrible drug is still being prescribed after it has injured so many people who were already hurting, and didn't need that kind of help from their doctors.

Naproxen didn't help me either, FH, that's why I took the Hydrocodone.
I am sorry that you are in so much pain - I understand

on-employment (opposite of unemployment)
I had a verbal job offer from the company I've been talking to for the last month!! Yay! I won't feel safe until that first paycheck is in the bank!
I have a drug question, please don't judge. I have gained 60 pounds in the past 6 years and it's time to take it off. I went to a diet place about 6 weeks ago and have lost about 10 pounds so far. I have to be drug tested for the new job and I'm worried that this drug will show up in the test. The doctor at the drug center said it usually doesn't show up, but if it does, since he prescribes it he can write a note to allow the drug to be found in my system. BUT, I don't want to take any chances that this drug will show up, so I plan to stop taking it prior to taking the drug test. My question is half-life and how long the drug stays in my system. Here is the info I googled about the medication:
Diethylpropion and its metabolites are excreted mainly by the kidney. It has been reported that between 75-106% of the dose is recovered in the urine within 48 hours after dosing. Using a phosphorescence assay that is specific for basic compounds containing benzoyl group, the plasma half-life of the aminoketone metabolites is estimated to be between 4 to 6 hours.
How long before the drug test should I stop taking it? Thanks!!!

It really depends on the dose. Lets take an example of a drug with a 5 hour half life that you are taking at 5 mg. If 80% goes in the blood (6 pints or so) you will develop around 1000 ppm in your blood so after 5 hours you will be at 500 ppm, 10 hours 250 ppm, etc.
If the lab test reads down to 1 part per billion then it can take some time. I will check the analytical method and find out. Be back.

problem solved
FH, don't be so hard on yourself!! You are certainly no dummy! BTW, how is your pain level (1-10)?
Kathy, I forgot to congratulate you on the weight loss - good for you! I have lost the 30 lbs that I had gained and it just sort of came off on its own...
