motion sickness
Hi Sid!
Sorry, I haven't been online for a bit - we have a new family member and I am busy getting to know her! Mom just adopted a 10 month old Yorkie mix and poor thing had spent 2 1/2 months at the Vet being treated for mange. She is fine now and up to date on all shots, etc. You won't believe what Mom named her - Ivy! (for the bricks and ivy at Wrigley Field, of course!!! ) Unfortunately, she is not used to living in a house so won't leave the couch in the TV room but she sleeps with Mom - she only weighs 9 lbs so she is Ok for Mom to carry...
I really miss you too, Sid! Kindergarten was so much fun and we need to try cooking some new dishes! Since tonite is Friday, I sure will miss you and our fun chat during the brandy and cigar time - Ivy doesn't smoke or drink
How is your Mom doing?

You have a sister Ivy? Cool for you man!
As for my mom, let's just keep it between us, a basket case! She is suffering more than before the drainage. She's getting real nervous because of the pain killers, afraid to get hooked. She's really upset about not being able to work the time being. No work insurance!
When she fixed me up for my fiesta yesterday, she had forgotten the cigar!!! And I was all alone as she needed to go to bed around 4pm.
So, no cigar, I tasted those long white things. One puff was enough. I choked on it!
As for me, I'm good but lonely. I should go to kindergarden next week. My mom has 3 or 4 medical appointments. She brought me once, and I got kicked out of the hospital. Because I wanted a scan also, like mom, and I insisted to go. I through a tantrum. So the big guys escorted me out, politely. I can't go anymore.
I went to Mom's car to wait. Max, I had the keys, I stayed cool and looked like a big shot with my bandana in that big white car. And the black trench of course.
Max, is your sister toilet trained? Sure hope so. I will be with you soon Max.
How is your mom doing? Aren't we lucky to have such moms. Auntie Raven and Uncle Hat are real special to me. Hugs to you my buddy Max!

sickness abounds
"So, no cigar, I tasted those long white things. One puff was enough. I choked on it!"
Long white things? my mind is running amok, Sid. So I guess you are just 'hanging' around the house huh Sid? (That was a joke! Oh I am so funny. You know 'hanging around', sloths hang in trees.... Oh well, not a comedian.)

Dear Sid,
Greg eyes are indeed rare. I afraid that I have hazel/brown eyes. I would love to see your beautiful Greg eyes. Your Mom is a wonderful person. She, like the rest of us just has personal struggles. But she does not let it stop her from taking care of those she loves. Love you both.
Auntie Raven

Just the feeling I have recently! Building up a temperature, if it goes higher, I will need to go to the hospital. Anxiety is also building up!
Auntie Raven, hazel eyes? I would look great with this. No contact lenses fit my big eyes.
Uncle Hat, just in case, long white things are cigarettes.
Hi Max, hi auntie Liz!

Thanks Liz. All is arranged with my buddy, should the fever go up more than 101.5F, he will bring me to the hospital, with my overnight bad. Tylenol is keeping it around 99.2, but when the four hours are over, it goes to 99.6.
SO, IF YOU, GEEZ, CANT GET RID OF THE CAPITALS!!! ANYWAYS, IF YOU DONT HEAR FROM ME TOMORROW, YOU KNOW WHERE TO FIND ME. YES, PRAYERS CAN ONLY HELP. HOPING TO HEAR FROM MAX SOON.
PS, FH, THE CULTURE WAS NEGATIVE, SO I GUESS THAT ERROR IS HUMAN!

Tomorrow am, another drainage! Still on the equipment, but removing the tube and putting another one in, that will point in another direction. Another culture! Another 6 hours lying on my back. Getting used to this. I got to keep busy, I can't work, so this is my new hobby.
This should end soon, nothing lasts. Right!

Unpleasant Dreams.
I think I will get into this game! Is this how it's played?
I am having unpleasant strange dreams. They take place in the house we lived in when I was about 10 years old (many many many many many years ago, got that?). I wonder if it's the weaning of the C?
BTW, are these stories in here real?

Dreams fade
Welcome Kathy. As far as I know the stories are all true except for Sid and Max. Max is Liz's imaginary pet capybara. Cid is from the movie "Ice Age" and is Gail's imaginary pet.

fade away
Hi Kathy! Max and Sid give us all some humorous moments which we all need!
Yep, those nasty deams are par for the course - they will fade though. I had terrible nightmares that I thought were real...
I have now been off the poison for almost 3 1/2 yrs and have been remiss about appearing here as much as I usually do
Wednesday was deep tissue massage (I have fibro) and yesterday was therapist. I have also added a new dog to my household so I am back to 2 again!
I named her Ivy since I am an avid Cubs' fan Wrigley Field = bricks and ivy! Game starting now...
Gail, how are things going for you? You remain in my prayers

Liz, I started on antibiotics today for the abcess located between the diaphragm and the spleen. The pain is at times out of this world. Scary.
I still have my "drain equipment", a tube going from " a bullet hole" in my back to a pouch attached to my leg. Almost three weeks now.
At times, I cannot differentiate between the pain and the anxiety. That bad!
I haven't worked in the last three weeks.
What is the verdict, about your back? What about the pain?
Thanks for the prayers. I haven't been to the chapel in the last week's, I tried but had to turn back.
Speaking of Ivy, this is also the name that I gave to my white winged!crow. She is beautiful, and I believe that she is mute, contrary to Ivy the dog.
A big hug to Max from my lovely Sid.

gator fever
For those who don't know the common American Alligator is not fully a poikilotherm (cold blooded). It is capable to alter its body temperature a few degrees internally. even a crocodile can't do that.
For those who don't know a cheesehead is what they call a fan of the Green Bay Packers football team. It is also a slang name for a Dutch person.

down town
Well Gail, I have an opossum which sleeps under my storage shed, a dozen or so very prolific rabbits. bluebirds, cardinals, thrashers, starlings, goldfinch and many more birds. The worst is a mockingbird which likes to set outside my bedroom window and sing at first light, 5 AM!!! That bird has to go!!

I got the same squirrel as three years ago. And that beautiful white winged crow which I feed. And a raccoon that I have seen twice, crossing the road. And my beautiful Sid. And many birds. And three ants on my balcony! We are a close knitted family!
No one needs to go.

For Kathy....Bears fan here!
Gail, I hope that you are soon better
FH, I have so many squirrels that I feed and lots of birds but my new surprise this year is a red-winged blackbird - never saw one in the wild before! Also opossums, rabbits and - wait for this - I have a rat almost as big as the squirrels who even climbs the pole to the bird feeder! I have rat poison but of course it doesn't eat that - prefers the sunflower seeds!
PS I still have my pair of cardinals that my daughter sends
