much sadness

Fortunately, the sciatica is now about gone, but there is another major upset coming..   Bentley can now hardly walk and has not eaten for 3 days - he is shutting down, I know.  Cannot stop crying as I will have to take him to the Vet tomorrow.  It is like losing the last part of my daughter as he was her dog. :(

Sadness painful

You will be in need of all the courage you can muster tomorrow. Painful for you but how liberating for Bently. Unless there is something to do to help that poor dog, keep us posted.

Ah, the things that we have to go through before peace finally inhabits us!

painful feelins

Gail so good to see you back in this post.

Liz, I feel I need Max to stay a bit longer. If possible until after my birthday coming up on the 20th. With all that is going on he has helped me some. He sleeps on the floor by my side of the bed at night. He does snore though. :P

He looks forward to going to work with me and is very protective of me it would seem. :D

Feelings uneven

Hey Raven, thanks. I have no smilies on my pad.

What a sweet relationship you have with our beloved Max. He is entertaining for sure.
I reserve him for Easter if possible. Will check with Liz.
Don't we all need a Max in our lives? For those hard times specially.

Hard times seems a trend lately!

That's fine, Raven - you may keep Max until after your birthday

He does have a way of keeping up one's spirits, doesn't he? :P

This has  been a terrible week and I'm glad it's over

Left alone

Yep! For Easter time. Max loves to talk about his sagas. And it's interesting.

Talking all night? For sure, on the bright side he sure does keep our mind occupied! At times, it's a good thing. Dark glasses, lunch box, black trench, huggable creature. I miss him!

Just a shout out to everyone to say "Hello".  I've missed you all and wanted to tell everyone I am thinking of you all.  Our family crisis has been a long road.  We are now on the upside and things are looking much better.  Hope you all are doing well and continuing your progress.  Much love to all.

gone forever

Hey Brz!  Good to hear from you - still like your job?

I am in terrible pain today with the sciatica or whatever it is, but could not even stay in bed - have taken a Hydrocodone but it is only taking the edge off.  If I did not have a Neurologist appt on Tues, I would go to the ER.

Hope this is good day for the rest of you!

forever young (i can dream can't i?)

wow, that is not good! i know of people who struggle with sciatic nerve pain, and have suspected that is something i've started noticing myself. a tweak in the lower back that runs down my hamstring as a throbbing ache - is that it? it kicks in sitting or driving in the car, or when i am going on a walk. but it doesn't happen every time but more often these days. what could the ER do for you? tuesday is a long wait. although i know cost and the wait time is what keeps me away from an ER.

i still love my job. i work with really great people. everyone is so smart - and kind. i feel productive and valued and enjoy working with my clients, introducing a product that really does save them time and money for their business. its an innovative web-based financial "software as a service", or SaaS, solution and i'm involved in product training and implementation. they've encouraged me to pursue a track that would move me into product development but... there could be big changes. we are an emerging start - up and are partnering with several nation-wide banks and have a number of fortune 500 clients already - which means we are an attractive purchase. i suspect we will be sold within 12months and that means the future is uncertain for us. what is most important to them would be our product and our brand. not the people who made it happen. that is typical in any acquisition by large corporations. its the nature of the beast and i knew that when i signed up. we all have the same attitude - ride this wave as long as we can and network now for that next job if and when the hammer comes down.

young person

brz, that is exactly how mine started!  It took several months to get where I am now..  I know an MRI is in order because I think this is due to an old injury to my lower back.  After all these years, who knows what is going on now?

I understand about the company merging - this happened to my younger son who was a drug rep for Abbott Labs out of Chicago.  He was making much money in commissions and he was let go.

I hope that you will be able to keep your job, but I know what you're feeling.

Be aware of those symptoms of sciatica...hopefully it won't get worse.

Take care and keep me posted on those symptoms!

Think I will pass, Gail!

Alvin is staying with the gal who set me up w/him - he had been pooping in the house the last few days and I have been in so much pain that I couldn't deal with it...  Hopefully he will be back soon.

Dr. appt this afternoon - hope I can get something for the pain - can barely walk when I get up in the morning.  Am looking forward to some relief - I have actually cried cuz it is so painful :(
