Thank you all for your kindness. It's tough to say how things are. On the one hand things are well relationship wise. Getting better as time goes on. Medication wise I feel like I am still struggling, because I don't want to be on anything. Then my little girl got steep last week, then my husband gets it on top of having to work all weekend. Now I feel sick, but not steep sick.

Oh boy! Had a bit of anxiety this morning. The psychiatrist prescribed Histantil(promethazine hydrochloride) for that. What a funky feeling even after seven hours. First time and last time for sure.
So sedating that I can barely stand. Spaced out this morning, I will stick with diphenhydramine. What an feeling, real uncomfortable.

ends abruptly
Gail, Histantil is chemically very similar to diphenhydramine (both are antihistamines) and the two can not be taken together. Matter of fact it should be at least 6 hours after your last dose of diphenhydramine before you take your first dose of Histanil.

Well, I had RLS in bed last night. Never had it this way. I thought that I would go nuts.
What a bad Histantil experience.
Fishingstein, it is really DIFFERENT from diphenhydramine in the way it works. It played havoc with my poor sweet brain.
I am ok now. Later...

left home
Oh, Gail.... How I understand the horrible RLS I take Ropinirole every nite and sometimes even during the day - it is definitely enough to drive one nuts!
Unfortunately I have had this problem for about 30 years
Good to hear that you are better now
BTW, how are you doing, Raven and FH?

home bound
The answer to that question would take forever.
Outline;
Still in reverse isolation for radiation overdose resulting in extremely low white blood cells. Recovery in 2 to 7 years. It has been two years
Weaning off Lorazepam still going well.
Still have Hypothyroidism, asymptomatic, slowly getting better.
Still have high triglycerides.
Will never have sex again. Thank you Cymbalta.
Still dealing with hiatal hernia.
Still have enlarged left atrium with high risk of stroke.
Still have non-alcoholic fatty pancreas (5% still functional).
Still ugly as ever.
Other than that doing great. Having fun with my friend on my favorite site.

FishingBrain, radiation you say, does that mean cancer?
Hiatal hernia, can't they operate? What are the symptoms?
Liz, that RLS is awful! I even though to get up and drink the whole bottle of Max's brandy.
To live with that everyday, I would throw myself off the balcony! So sorry that you have that.
Do we know why this happens? Doc Fishingstein?

the lost
The radiation overdose was from a cat scan and 2 barium enemas I had about 2 years ago. The cat scan showed a possible thickening of the colon wall so they tried two barium enemas in order to get a clear picture of the colon. Both failed to get a good picture. During one they went over the allowable limit on radiation in order to try and improve the clarity. It didn't work. All of this within 6 weeks. Right now there is no law that requires a medical unit to inform patients of there radiation levels they were exposed to. I had to submit a written request. I was informed I had a H2 radiation overexposure and should my blood cell levels checked. My white blood cells were low and have been dropping ever since. I have been placed in what is called reverse isolation. This is were you stay isolated from the regular population so you don't (hopefully) catch anything. The calculations provided from the medical nuclear physicist showed a 0.25 - 0.5% chance of getting cancer from this dose. I am not allowed to have radiation in any quantity for 7 years at which time my risk drops back to normal.
The high dose of iodine used in the cat scan caused my hypothyroidism. Both of these conditions are fairly common. It is that most people do not check on their radiation dose after testing and there thyroid hormones. About 20% of the people getting a cat scan develop hypothyroidism after the test. It is essential to force fluids as much as possible after a contrast cat scan to flush the iodine out of your system quickly. After 48 hours the remaining iodine is already attached to your thyroid. About 10% of those who have a major cat scan (whole body, abdominal, etc) will have a significant radiation exposure. The detrimental effects of this exposure and the risk of cancer can be reduced by up to 50% by taking Vitamin C or NAC (N0Acetyl Cysteine) the day before, the day off and the day after the cat scan.

Who needs to go to school when we have a private educator? Learning a lot here. Thanks FishingBrain!
Raven, I hope that you have time off during the holidays to recuperate.
Liz, getting ready to pack Max's precious belongings? Specifically his sunglasses and black trench. Are you expecting company at Christmas? As for myself, Max and I will be by ourselves.
Which is fine with us, we will have time to catch up!

I didn't know what to add to blockers!
Everything is ready for Max tomorrow. You know the drill, cigar and brandy. Hot bubble bath first and new bathrobe, with Layla inscribed on it, his raccoon girlfriend. He will be besides himself with joy! So will I.

Ok, so I really don't know what this means, but had to get on here regarding Max...
Gail, Max is packed and ready to go!
I just made some soft chocolate chip cookies for Max to take and share with your pilot along with the burgers!
He is so excited to see you!

Liz, my love has arrived safe and sound. He was really wound up and is now taking a nap. We will have a small fiesta later on. I keep looking at him while he sleeps and I just want to hug and kiss him. You have done a great job with his fur, so soft and smells real good.
The cookies are so good that I just had 3 with my afternoon coffee.
Lenition, is it like let's say Juan and the J is not pronounced?

Well well FishingBrain, that is so rare from you not to know the meaning of a word!
Max and I are having a brandy, he is humming his favorite song, Alleluia. He is talking non stop about his girlfriend, Layla. He is smiling like an angel does! Happy Max!
Max was a bit thrown off by the snow when he landed. My lovely pilot had brought a warm black coat for him. I had forgotten about that. Thanks Carl!
He now wants to write a few words here to say Hello, $*#@&+(/#@, his words, not mine. Alleluia!

Update on Max. He insisted on going out shopping by himself for a few gifts.
I hesitated because he doesn't really look human and I don't want people laughing at him.
So I called Carl the pilot to be his body guard!
He was here in five minutes and off they went, still not back yet.
I love that sweet Max more than anything, sorry FishingBrain!
