around time

Morning all!

Carleeta, my husband named him when we first got him. Lord of the Rings was popular then and he likes the character Pippin in the movies.

What a beautiful day here up in NYS.  Summer is on its way.  Began planting my mint this morning.

Raven, what a beautiful way to name your kitty. Your husband must adore her.  My kitty's name is Isabella, and we call her Izzy for short.

Yes, we both love "him". We call him Pipp for short. We also have a dog name Sammy. He is truly out daughter's dog. When she stays over at my husband's parent's house, he keeps going in her bedroom looking for her.

Nice, a kitty and a dog who's named Sammy.  My great nephew who visits me frequently has a HUGE dog named Bella. She has a tendency to be a bit clumsy and when shes around me she sort of knocks me from right to left when shes walking besides me....lol lol lol.  Shes a big baby.  I love little dogs although they are too high maintenance  for me at the moment.  My work hours are all over the place.

Ouch is right.  Good morning everyone.  Today is an up and out early day.  Attending the "Go for Red" luncheon which starts at 11am.  Not sure if anyone of you are familiar with the Go for Red.  For all those who are unfamiliar with this organization ,it was created by the American Heart Association to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke as the number one killer of women.  The "Go for Red" is to raise awareness in women and empower women to take control and charge of their heart health.  It's a wonderful luncheon with speakers telling their own story on their unforeseen tragedy on heart disease.  Women are unaware of the myth this only happens to men.  I'm active in this organization and one other which I'll explain next week when I attend that one.  Have a great day all.  To all the women members here and to husbands: please be aware to keep your body and heart healthy.  Have a wonderful day to all.

Carleeta, happy to hear that you are active in that organization.  My daughter died after complications resulting from aortic valve replacement :(

Very sorry to hear about the suffering you daughter endeared from aortic valve replacement.  I'm extremely active in this particular organization. Since 2007 this particular organization, for women, has been an interest of mine.  We just heard we beat our goal and raised over $400,000.00.  I'm also a member, within this organization, of the "Red Circle". It's amazing and getting bigger every year.  Feel comfort in knowing we are doing a great job and empowering more women everyday.  God Bless you Liz.

Thank you for your kind words, Carleeta...

Is anyone else not being notified when there are new postings here?? Don't know what's up, but I have to check forums to see new ones :(

Feeling down today - don't think I played well at bridge today (feeling neurotic I guess) and just found my flag (have huge flag pole in front yard) lying on the front porch with a huge tear in it.  It has been terribly windy here today and the flag was fine earlier today - it makes me want to cry to see it on the ground.  Sigh...

Crazy thoughts

Free your crazy thoughts.  Use the phrase "It's all good".  No matter how bad things feel or get, say to yourself and say to other "It's all good" . Your words to yourself are very powerful.  "Goodbye Crazy Thoughts....bye....." It's all good".....yipeeeeee
