Got the best recipe for meat loaf. My clients love it. Could be the same. Brown sugar and ketchup on the top? Onions, egg, relish, oatmeal mixed in the meat.
Learning bridge with a book!!drinking wine sounds more fun.
Getting ready for the night, and the word biologics keeps popping up. Fisherman, waiting here!

"fever pitch
Biologic medicines are made from natural sources. They are usually extracted from the source animal or plant and then purified. Aspirin was one of the original biologics. It was extracted from the roots of a particular bush and then purified. These days many of the potent arthritis, dermatological and hematological medicines are hormones or enzymes extracted from mice, horses and other animals and used on humans. They are highly effective but so strong that many are only take 2 or 3 times per year yet work well. But that potency often causes side effects in other systems of the body that can even be life threatening, such as the immune system.
"A biopharmaceutical, also known as a biologic(al) medical product, biological,[1] or biologic, is any pharmaceutical drug product manufactured in, extracted from, or semisynthesized from biological sources. Different from chemically synthesized pharmaceuticals, they include vaccines, blood, or blood components, allergenics, somatic cells, gene therapies, tissues, recombinant therapeutic protein, and living cells used in cell therapy. Biologics can be composed of sugars, proteins, or nucleic acids or complex combinations of these substances, or may be living cells or tissues. They are isolated from natural sources—human, animal, or microorganism."

pitch well
Think the Cubbies have some pitchers that will pitch well this coming season! (keeping fingers crossed)
Thanks, FH for the clarification - much explained here
Gail - I would like your recipe - can never get enough meatloaf recipes!
P.S. I have lessons but we still have a Beginner's Bridge Book!

Thanks FH, of course! Like bio hormones. Got it. I know, did not think real fast here.
One onion diced, half cup oatmeal, one egg, 3 tablespoons green relish. Salt, pepper of course. All mixed up, then the secret is to cover it with brown sugar and ketchup. Real good.
As for the cubbies, will stick with the Max(ies).

And tomorrow will be only minus, yes minus 7 Celsius or something, problem is to translate from Celsius to Fahrenheit.
Also, happy to stay home in am manana. Work in afternoon with such a nice guy, probably gay but that's OK by me. Way less dangerous...
The last definition of myself is Funny. Unless...I don't really know myself...♥

door open
Can't have door open here - was in 40's last nite! Not as bad as up there, Gail
Just had 8 Sand Hill Cranes walk across my front lawn - those guys are huge! A good 4 feet tall!
Also, the Ospreys are back - always the first part of Feb. Have a nest not far from my house and saw both mom and dad in the nest yesterday!
Mom will stay in the nest after eggs are laid and dad hunts for fish (lake behind me) They are usually nesting for about 5 months. Love to watch them!

You would be happy here, lakes and rivers all around.
Nice story Liz, I am envious of your environment.
Heard the cardinal twice this week and got one squirrel or two that come knocking on my patio door every morning. One looks up in the sky, like he is praying and then he eats his peanut butter. And then he pees like he saying thank you. So cute!

locked in
Every nite I make sure that I set my alarm so that we are all locked in! After robbery almost 6 years ago, taking no chances.
I would love to see where you live, Gail - it sounds lovely, but I'll wait til summer...
FH, if I had a basement, I would be worried! Strangely, when I first moved here the house had been uninhabited for over 6 months, and there is a storage area at the end of the garage that has its own door. I noticed that the patio set had only 3 chairs and found the 4th in that area! I had a "sleeper" using the area at nite - I left a nice note and he moved on

where there
Good Morning!
In answer to your question, Gail, a "sleeper" is a homeless person using a place to sleep. Apparently this person had been sleeping in my storage shed using one of the patio chairs. I went out to the patio one morning and as I was walking out I briefly saw someone running through the bushes. I found a notice from a church left in the chair so I figured this must be just an unfortunate person.
I wrote a note saying now that I have moved in, it is time for you to move out. God Bless.
He (or she) never came back!
I have had so much weird stuff happen to me
I tried your meatloaf last nite and it was wonderful! I ate too much...

Never expected that, a sleeper, another new word.
Lock your basement door in case sleepinghat gets ideas!
You were up early this morning! A friend of mine lent me some videos to watch so today was supposed to be the day for that. Guess what, I can't wire correctly the darn cables, red yellow and white. Tried it all.
Staying in today, reading and relaxing.

away, gone
Gail, the word "sleeper" may just be common where I live - I had never heard it before, either~
You sound like me - I couldn't wire anything if my life depended on it!
It is cold and rainy here, so don't think I will be going to church today. I always freeze in there as it is...
Next week starts Bible Study again and that is before church so I am there for about 3 hrs

For goodness sake, gosh, my language may get a bit...
Right, a bit shitty here but since I am a pea soup, I have been forgiven in advance.
I can't, for crying out loud here, rebranch the f****ing wires to get the freaking sound...of the **** TV.
I hate this and I hate this. Such a dope in that department and others. The worst is that I watch TV only at supper time. I am at lost here...will call back my brother tomorrow noon.
Perhaps I need bible study...oh well...I will settle with Nouwen's book which I love.
Bitching is over, who is next?♥

out (of) luck
I would be out of luck if I tried to hide under my bed - not much space and I have pictures stored under there...
Good thing you can now hear your TV, Gail
It is so cold that Max doesn't want to go outside at all - so happy you trained him, Gail!
It was 46 degrees when I got up.....

You have some really cold stuff there! I'm sure I would freeze to death!! It has been in the low 40's here at nite - high is 60 today and tomorrow will only be in mid 50's
No squirrels, today? Maybe it's too cold for them too...
I am now up to 7 that come every day!

have job!
Hey gang, i;ve been out of touch as i have been focused on my job search, writing and re-writing resumes, each targeted for a specific job for which i was applying. same goes for the cover letters. also lots of effort to contact people i know on the inside to put out the word, etc etc. i was called in for several interviews the past couple weeks. i got an offer last friday pending all the background checks/ credit checks/reference checks... today i got the word i am cleared and am officially hired. i've spent all morning signing the new hire documents - pages and pages. these days the company sends a link to a secure web site with all the docs i need to sign - using an electronic signature.
the company is a high tech firm, a "dot com". it has the feel of a google or facebook - more than 50% of the staff are software developers and i half expect to see some guy skateboard down the hall. very casual environment, ping pong and foosball tables so you can blow off steam. you get the idea. i think i am the oldest employee there. good thing i act and feel young;-)
compensation is good, but the best news of all???? great insurance and NO MORE OBAMACARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
