OK? Really?

That equates to $3.79 per gallon!!  Wow that is really high. We are paying $136 per gallon here. Gasoline/gallon here is cheaper than milk (by a lot, $7), ice cream ($5), soda pop ($5) and paint ($30).

Happy to hear that you are improving...  Cauliflower here is $2.50 and that's on sale!

Better than

Wow! At .99 cents the liter we hurry up for a full tank. Which I did yesterday.

Liz, glad to hear. The Porto neighbor left us at 4 pm today, I expected that but it came as a great shock. He was not a believer, a good guy, talking endlessly. I used to tell him that God did not want him up there because he would create havoc with all his bla bla!
Rest in peace my dear Pierre.ā™„

What you posted makes things so real - more than ever.  I am sorry for your loss of Pierre

I think we all wish that we had more time...   we never do all that we would like

Tonite is supposed to be the coldest we have had yet this year :(

Time ends

Thank you Liz and Fisherman.

Fortunately there comes a time when time ends...
It's a cold one here also.

Fisherman, I am stealing your phrase. Is it spring yet.

I pray that my time ends quickly.  It is not my desire to linger in pain.

Gracefully accepted

Well well, that is a lie! Anxiety or whatever disorder is not gracefully accepted...I wish.

Back to serious business, suspecting a hernia here. Seeing doc on Tuesday for that. For an anxious person, what a deal! Had one five years back, now I think that it ruptured again. Fisherman, FYI,inguinal hernia.

Besides this, is it spring yet?

Gail, I'm sorry to hear that...  I would imagine that it is painful :(

Many years ago I had an umbilical hernia repaired

Stay warm

Stinks badly

Hi Liz, Fisherman, Brz and others.

Back from the doc. Seems to be inflammation of the pelvic ligaments or muscles, nerves. So, one week on anti inflammatory med.
Plus an ecography, abdominal and pelvic in the months to come. Voila!

Are you all on strike???ā™„

Hi all!  I'm back...

Had foot Dr. appt and then went grocery shopping.  I am beat and really hurt :( Dr. prescribed tramadol for bad days and also gave me a cortisone shot

Gail, I'm sorry about your situation there...hope you feel better soon.

And you, FH?  Situation continuing to improve??

Shopping compulsively

Hi again! We do make a nice trip here. A bobo here a bobo there. Pain is pain whatever it is.

Liz, I hope your cortisone shot works. Many of my clients have that, sometimes it works and sometimes not. Rest with the boys tonite. I don't hear about sports, what's up?

Hi Fishinghat!

I feel a bit relieved since I saw my doctor. The craziness that went into my head recently, oh boy! I was scared out of my mind. January has not been a good month at all.

Raining here and above the freezing point all week during the day, I like that.

compulsively talking

This is what I feel that I do - a good deal of the time

No sports to talk about right now, as I can only see the Bulls (basketball) and Blackhawks (hockey) when they are on regular channels since I cannot afford to pay for these as well.  I pay for the Baseball channel and spring training will be starting in Feb :D

I can hardly wait as I feel that we have an awesome team this year!

Thankfully, Max loves baseball too :P

talking pain

Well Liz, just sort of holding steady lately. The wife says I am still improving but slowly. She is probably right. Hard to tell from the inside looking out. But overall tolerable but uncomfortable.

medication tomorrow

Hi all!

I will be picking up my new pain medication tomorrow after my bridge lesson (haha) and have high hopes.  I had acupuncture today and am now doing quite a bit of nothing!

It is actually about 64F but raining, not hard though.  Can't complain seeing as it's January! :)

Hope you, Gail, and FH are staying warm...   Happy that you are making even slow progress, FH!

Tomorrow comes

Hi Liz, you seem good or better than yesterday.

Bridge!! Strategic game, you are a bright one.

Variation between 28 and 34 here. Dangerous for driving. Rains and freezes all day long. We might add slippery.

Keeping warm till spring!

comes soon

It will come soon, Gail - hang in there!  I know icy streets are miserable

I would not consider myself bright since it has been at least 40 years since I have played bridge, and found out at the first lesson last week, that we were not playing correctly!  Can't remember who our teachers were...some friends (?) I guess...
