is english

"For Evermore" is old English (the language Edgar Allen Poe used) and means basically for ever or for eternity.

Fisherman, I have joined your rank(state of anxiety). Winter is too much. Patience and hope that it does not last, winter and anxiety.

Fry, fly

Fly away, up in the sky, real high.

And catch the rainbow by the tie, don't let go, on that, you can rely.

Gone forever

Going over 2015, I feel gratitude for returning to life.

Max and I are happy to be back together. The Friday routine continues. We are having the brandy together tonite and will watch TV. I hate the smell of cigars, but out of love for tonite, I will tolerate it.

lackadaisical now

So happy that Max arrived safely!  Had my son arriving in Seattle about 3 hrs. ago so now everyone is gone...

Except the dogs of course.  Sherman was shaking last nite because we have neighbors who shoot off fireworks at midnite and he wouldn't stay in bed with me - he wanted to sleep with Paulie!  Of course it wasn't a long nite, since Paulie had to get up at 4.  I was awake when he was getting ready, but did not get up

I am happy to be alone again - so tired!

Now now

Again now now, I know. Alone again, at last. Poor Sherman, like a human, fear and insecurity.

For myself, it's mostly impatience and anger. Can't stand any noise. And when that guy gets up at 5am and starts his, the machine to remove the white stuff, whatever the translation, I want to strangle him.

He did that twice, the second time was only one inch of white stuff. The thoughts that goes through my mind at that early hour, are not very nice. No, not at all. Though, Max was fascinated by that machine. A snow remover?? What is the name please?

Lacka what? Will look that up. A snort??? Is that a sniff?

Liz, back to normal for you, aren't we glad for the old routine?

Supper time♥

Now happy

Yes, Gail  - I am now happy!  You are so right - even when it is family, it can drive you crazy!  Happy to be alone...!

I understand about the noise - I hate it too!  I have a neighbor across the street that loves to use her leaf blower at 730am.  My bedroom is in the front of the house and I want to shoot her!  They also have people over all the time that park on their lawn and that is the lovely view I get from my picture window in the living room  They are truly "rednecks! - now there's a new word for you!

The snow removal thing is either a "snow blower" if hand operated or a "snow plow" if operated by a vehicle.  It would make me crazy as well!

I'm so happy that you have Max - he is such wonderful company and I know he enjoyed having brandy with you last nite :D

Happy now

I know, now again.

Snow blower it is. Don't we have homicidal thoughts when people act as if they were all alone in the world at five or six am? I can imagine that Fisherman would lose it also.

Quiet day, just removed the snow from the car, did my hair and am happy now that it is done.

Max is snoozing in his lazy boy and seems quite contented. He wants to try cole slaw with his supper tonite. Talks about the boys, you and Craig often.

now cold

It is now actually cold down here!  In 40's last nite but mid 60's expected today.  Will be in low to mid 70's shortly.

How is Max doing, Gail?  I hope that he is staying warm - is he wearing his sweater?

Dear FH, I hope that you are improving - however slowly :)

Weather freezing

Minus 24 Celsius, high minus 15 Celsius. That is collldddd!

Max is in the dumps! No sweater today, but his flanel pyjamas. Plus his bathrobe. He can't go on the balcony for the moment, too cold. And when he sees the two squirrels on "his" balcony, he gets frustrated! This will pass, time and patience!!!

freezing ground

Wow, Gail - I know I have nothing to complain about weather-wise, but the wind is horrible!!  That is the part of winter that I hate down here - it makes it feel at least 10 degrees colder :(

Poor Max !  I'm sure he is freezing too, even with his pyjamas and bathrobe... Perhaps a hot toddy would be in order tonite... ;)

Stay warm - both of you!!

Ground frozen

Is it a north wind? Probably.

Good news, should be up above freezing point for the next few days, with rain. I don't mind this, as long as the rain is not white...

Sun all over the house now, Max and I are feeling better. No sweater, no pyjamas, just his soft fur. Yes, FH, soft fur.

No hot toddy, but a hot bubble bath. So, for today, we are better. Not completely at ease, but getting there.

Liz, have you recuperated now that you are alone?♥

frozen feet

So happy that weather is not so bad now, Gail!  It has been chilly today with rain this afternoon - too bad I had to go out..

I had my massage today - 1st one since mid October, as it took that long for the clinic to hire someone new :(

I also ran an errand after that and was in extreme pain when I got home.  Obviously the muscles sure needed movement, but ouch!  It's the fibro that has been getting worse - partly due to the weather I'm sure.  Was hurting so much on Mon. that I went for a last-minute acupuncture

Things should get better now that I can resume my normal routine between the 2 things - alternating weeks.  (Sorry to complain, but these last 3 days have been horrible)

Glad you are both doing better and I'm sure that Max enjoyed his bubble bath!  Also - amazing how sunshine can make you feel! B)

Yes, I am thrilled to be alone again - I don't even want to talk on the phone!

My boys are all the company I need at this point! :P

hands burning

i rubbed capsaicin cream on my husbands back last night which left my hands burning! i washed them very well afterwards, but they still burn... gotta make sure i don't rub my eye! he's been helping the tenant with the roof next door - up and down the ladder, carrying heavy materials and on his hands and needs repairing the damaged wood they uncovered after ripping off the old roof. his back has been killing him ever since.

gail, i would rather the white stuff then the rain when its cold!!! the humidity seems to make the air feel colder to me. just as much if not more than the wind. now i do understand about having to drive in it - always a challenge! of course, freezing rain is the absolute worst!

it has been a tad chilly here... but after all this crazy heat we've had through christmas, i love it! i know TFL does not. its true, the rain makes it worse.

burning up

Hey Brz. My wife loves hot hot peppers. When she picks and processes them from our garden her hands get on fire. This is the same type of acid in capsaicin (which is made from peppers). She keeps a bottle of liquid antacid around (eg. Mylanta) and rubs it on her hands and presto the pain is 90 to 95% gone. Be sure and let it soak into the hand for 2 or 3 minutes so it gets down in the pores of the skin.

Capsaicin (/kæpˈseɪ.ɨsɪn/ (INN); 8-methyl-N-vanillyl-6-nonenamide) is an active component of chili peppers, which are plants belonging to the genus Capsicum. It is an irritant for mammals, including humans, and produces a sensation of burning in any tissue with which it comes into contact. Capsaicin and several related compounds are called capsaicinoids and are produced as secondary metabolites by chili peppers, probably as deterrents against certain mammals and fungi.

Up where?

Brz, I love the rain, in all seasons. Perhaps not five days in a row, it soothes me.
Also love chili peppers, I like it hot! Runs in the family.

And what is our sweet pea up to? First time that I saw your user name, I was sure that it was Tyingflying, I still read it this way.

Battle going on my balcony, like war between two gigantic squirrels. Max is all eyes!

be happy

I would be happy if I could use my right thumb!  Long story, but Bentley bit me yesterday morning and my thumb is so swollen that it won't bend - haven't been typing much today!

Gail, I hope that you and Max have a wonderful evening!  We do miss him, but I know that he loves you too!

Hi FH!!  How are you doing?

off again

Briefly, Bentley took off again - 2 times in same morning and crossed street into neighbor's yard.  Wouldn't come when I called him so went over there (in my pyjamas :() and tried to pick him up.  He immediately bit my thumb and I dropped him and said some not too nice words.  My Invisible Fence had been broken for almost 3 weeks and he didn't have his collar on anyway.

Had fence fixed yesterday, as it was cut in 3 places.  Think I have to have a talk w/my yard person. Had it fixed 2 months ago - broken in only 1 place that time.  Total cost of all of this was $270

Needless to say, I am not a happy camper.  Thumb is still swollen and looks like a sausage...

Oh, my! But to bite you, something wrong with him? And in pyjamas, I imagine the picture!

As for you thumb, you can put ice to help. Hope you feel better!♥
