If not, there is always a tomorrow, you are not alone in this.♥

What tranquility!

Quiet, silence, ease, peace, solitude, that's the name of my game. Hey Fisherman, hello !

tranquility, yes

My son left about 1130am after we went out to breakfast and there is now tranquility, yes, but even Max is bummed out.

So much activity - running around, cooking, cleaning up, cooking, cleaning up some more and it's over :(

Max sends a kiss, Gail, and is looking forward to his New Year's visit! :D

I hope everyone had a beautiful and peace-filled Christmas!

Yes sir

Bummed out? All is over now, relax.

Looking forward to having Max on Thursday, same pilot same place and same time.
The word game will be filled with his extravaganza.

So, if you are ready for that, it's a done thing. Send his winter pyjamas please. His sunglasses and woolen socks please! No stress with Max, I like that!♥

Max packing

I like that Sir Max, FH!

Max is already packing as he is so excited!  I bought him a new pair of pyjamas as he didn't need warm ones here.  It is so warm that he has already packed them, along with the wool socks.  We keep setting records here...blech

FH, how is your weather where you are?  Hope you are not having any flooding...

packing heat

Lake is up 8 ft, rivers all up 15 to 20 ft above flood stage. Last I heard 11 dead in our area. Over 100 state roads closed and over 600 country roads. Seen a few houses floating down the river on the way to church Sunday. Mandatory evacuation in many many towns and subdivisions. All motels full and all the cities have opened their shelters for people to stay in if their houses are in danger. Ice, sleet and snow all day today before stopping. For my wife and I.... well we live on top of a very large hill. A long way to go for us to be in danger. lol

heat unbearable

OH, FH....  that is terrible - I can't imagine seeing a house floating down a river :(

Happy that you live on a hill - such horrible destruction!  Are you talking about the Mississippi?  I have heard it said that this flooding every few years is what keeps the soil so rich in that area.

As you know, I am from the Midwest and know how bad it can get.

unbearable wetness

Not the Mississippi, just local small streams that average 3 to 5 feet deep are running 20; plus over their banks. Still raining.

I was about to leave for my therp about an hr ago and my battery was dead :(

Sometimes it's just one thing after another...

Oldest son coming back late tomorrow afternoon from his dad's in order to spend the nite here.  Flight is out of Orlando on Wed. and his dad lives on the gulf so much easier.  And he's taking me out to dinner!! :D

Unending disasters

Fisherman, wow, was thinking of you as I read the news. So happy that your wife and yourself live high in the sky...good news.

Liz, what's up with the temperature there? Surely not a frozen battery...and Paulie will be back, no cooking this time.

As for Sir Max, new pyjamas, and socks, he will need them.

We are expecting around nine inches of white stuff manana, I'm not working so less stress for myself. Been on edge lately, winter is just setting in and driving makes me nervous.

disasters saddening

Good to "see" you Gail!  I understand about the snow driving - I hated it too

Yep, Sir Max is counting down the days now!  He is definitely ready :D

My battery was dead a few days ago and my dear friend and neighbor, Greg, gave me a jump - I had apparently hit one of the switches on my rear view mirror (they are REALLY sensitive!) so a light had been on all nite.  Only drove it a couple of short distances so it never fully charged :(  It is currently hooked up to a charger in my garage and all should be OK later (I hope )

BTW, FH - how are things going for you?  Some improvement?

Saddening thoughts

Liz, thanks for asking. Doing quite good here, with anxiety peeks. But sooooo much better.
Nothing compared to 2014. Still on the 10 mg Prozac, and the tapering or weaning of Valium is so good, at a bare minimum.

But as I said, the winter has just set in and that is hard for me plus a few personal issues.

You must have a fancy vehicle, never heard of switches near the rear view mirror. All is good that ends good, my dad used to say this.

Sir Max has his favorite brandy waiting, just have to get the cigars. He will have two days of fiesta, tell him, when he gets here and Friday of course. And tell him that two squirrels are also waiting for him. He will have to forget about the Neighbor's Porto as he is living his last days and not feeling good( cancer).

Enough for now, I do get carried away when talking about Sir Max!!! One last thing, what is up with your temperature at the moment?

thoughts happy

I have happy thoughts for all that 2016 will be the best year ever :D!!

Gail, my car is a  2004 Chevrolet Impala limited edition.  I bought it used almost 3 years ago.  It is an Indianapolis 500 Edition - only 2500 of them made.  Maybe in time it will be worth something if I don't total it!  Yes, it has all the bells and whistles!

I will pass your info on to Max - he is beside himself already!

I'm sorry to hear about your neighbor - so sad...

I am sure that we set another record for the high temperature again today, but there is some really cold stuff coming in by the weekend. Could be in 40's at nite....BRRRRRR :(

Happy....almost

Still a lot of agitation, anxiety, jumpy and over reactive. I think it is fading or maybe just wishful thinking. I can tolerate it though so....Time and patience.

Almost there

Fisherman, can you pinpoint the cause of all this or is it just a phase that you can not explain? Most of the time, I can not understand what causes my own miseries. Oracion and thoughts for you, as always.♥

Liz, a fancy impala. And does it speak? Don't know much about cars here. But I know what it looks like.

That weather is absolutely haywire. Same here. The Earth is going nuts, perhaps It is in withdrawal from...where are we heading with all this?

Hugs to Sir Max, and hasta manana si Dios quere.♥

I think I just pushed my lorazepam withdrawal too much. I was doing fine with no withdrawal until I started to get greedy. My opinion. If so it will get better.

Is it?

Let's hope that it is just that Fisherman. You would not be happy here today, white stuff is falling, six inches up to date and surely another ten or so.

We are the region that will get the most, no one on the streets. Shoveling for the janitor, his back hurts so much, he was on the verge of crying. Cleaning cars for elderlies and sick people. Thank God that He gives me the energy.

On that, good morning!

Is there no end to the horrible weather?  We are very lucky here as the worst will be this weekend with cooler weather.  Gail, that amount of snow is just too much - making the skiers happy I'll bet!

Max is almost jumping up and down in his excitement!

FH, I pray that you will see some daylight soon

Time for

Each thing has its own rythm and its own time, and it is needed of you to let this thing advance by itself.

So everything,
A place...a time,
A particular procedure,
Are necessary
So can be born something new. Isaac de Ninive. Just like that monk!
