5 months on cymbalta, scary side effects, to get help and to return the favor if I can.

Posted 27 September 2015 - 03:57 PM

Quickly happened

Hard to believe, but so true.

I do my groceries every Thursday, and I always feel that last Thursday was like 2 days ago.

And FH, a floater appeared in my right eye today, thank God that I got used to the one in the left eye. No panic, it quickly happened while I was walking up the stairs. Thought I had like a spider in my eye. I will get used to it.

happened overnight

I had floaters when I was in withdrawal  -  how long have you had  the one in your left eye, Gail?

Overnight ???

Don't remember the exact time, about two years or so.

You mean that they vanished? Mine stayed and I got used to it.
Will look in my calendar and see. Will be back!

January 2013, before cymbalta. Or any drugs.

Don't know where we are on the words, but I started with the floaters about 3-5 weeks into the withdrawal.  I also had very sore, dry eyes.  They did go away and my eyes became normal again.

I knew someone who had floaters for years and she wasn't on any drugs either.  She said too that you just get used to them. :)

overnight cure

Floaters can be caused buy many things like direct view of the sun, a welders torch, vitrous detachment etc. The important thing is to watch for any following sudden changes like someone dropping a curtain across certain parts of your vision. This could be due to severe retinal or vitreous detachment. This needs to be addressed immediately before it is no longer repairable. A trip to the ER if necessary.

Needed rest,

Just checked the moon. It seems closer, but other than that, normal for the moment. Going to bed, will miss the "blood".

It is vitreous detachment, had all the tests in 2013. This one has the same pattern, I am not anxious about it. Vitreous detachment can go away by its own but sometimes not. We get used to it.

No curtain here, just a fly going back and forth. I will keep a check on that "fly". Thanks FH.

rest easy

Not another Blood Moon for 30 years!  I remember seeing the last one when I was still working.  When I was driving home, it looked as though the moon was sitting at the end of the road and it was ENORMOUS!

Easy rider

Last peek before going to bed. Gotta go down 2 floors, will report again shortly. Next one in 2033, made a mistake about the dates.

I did see some of the eclipse but no "Blood" as it was cloudy here as well.  I was disappointed too as I can't count on being around in 2033!

Just saw a full white moon.

alone (no) more

Buenos Dias!

Does anyone else feel that this sensitivity is the result of coming off Cymbalta?  I have never been like this before - I even cry after communion

More(or)less

For myself, it is not connected to cymbalta.
I like that you cry after communion.

It is part of myself. It can be cyclic also. I feel sadness often related to others. I don't cry that much though. But it is good when it happens.

less (is) more

In my case I feel that Cymbalta has contributed to the increase sensitivity. No way to know for sure.

I agree, FH...

I never cried after communion before and I also cry during certain hymns :(

I still tear up whenever I speak of my daughter and it's been over 6 years!

I know what you mean. I can't deal with music, many tv shows, emotional conversations, etc as they just are overwhelming.
