In or out Liz?
No cookies, the weight!
Stomping their feet, thanks FH for the right expression.
Called a hunter that is a friend of mine and he said that they do that to alert the other deers that there could be danger. And that deers never charge on someone, but a moose can. I will never forget the eyes, scary.

Here are... (the facts)
Good morning!
I did speak the language when I was a kid - my maternal grandparents both came from Sweden in the early 1900's - but not together.
They met here and married after WWI because my grandfather served!
I spent a month in Sweden when I was 10 and could speak fluently then - we still have many relatives there!

That is cool, any souvenirs from the time spent there?
Your sons are blond, right? That could explain it.
A lot of blonds in your family?
Exhausted from my sweeping the forests, takes a lot of energy. First thing is not to get lost, watching where you are stepping then watching for mushrooms. Looking back to see if you could be lost, my worst fear. More tiresome than working, but I love it.

Awesome trip
Gail, about the only things I have from that trip are old pictures. I went over again in my 30's when I worked for an airline. Swedish not so good that time!
Yes, my boys are blonde, my mother as well, but my grandmother had auburn hair - guess that's where I got mine!
Did you find any mushrooms today?

So, as I can see, blonde skips one generation.
We are all dark in our families, great grandmother was part Micmac.
Resting today, not going out. TV a bit and with my heating pad, soothes me. Will go back on Tuesday. Now, back to playing spider solitaire.

cancelled fun
That's interesting about your great grandmother!
My grandparents on the other side also came here in the early 1900's from Germany! Still have papers from my grandfather's family when they came through Ellis Island! They also met here...
Enjoy your afternoon!

holder disappeared
Don't think Gail meant you, FH and I'm under the impression that Max is no longer on the menu!
Yes, Gail, the boys' check was for meds...Bentley, my poor old guy will have to be on them the rest of his life due to the heart murmur and she wants him on a 3rd one which I couldn't afford today - that one is $52 !! So the total for meds for Bentley will be $81/month plus the heartworm and flea stuff at 36.95 (for both) every other month (And I thought I wanted another dog!)

Those guys are expensive, I could not manage that. I will stick with wild ones that are free. How old is Bently? If I am correct, he was your daughter's?
Of course, as for BBQ ,its not meant for Max anymore as a truce was made last week!
FH, nice to see you.

twice again
Yep, Gail, Bentley was my daughter's dog and he just developed this heart murmur with age - he is either 13 or 14. I just want him to be comfortable and keep him as long as I can.
Sherman is 7 and I got him after I lost my Silky Terrier to liver cancer at the age of 12. I am alone most of the time, so I love my dogs!
Sorry about the different types here - can't seem to straighten it out!
