poisoning slowly
That beats "moonshining". To go moonshining or to take a girl shining was to get a small amount of oil. Go out on a night with a full moon, pour some of the oil on top a mud puddle and then watch the moonlight shine off the oil. It makes a rainbow effect on the surface. Cheaper than cable!!! lol

everything back
The reflection in the mirror gives everything back. There in the glass, light infuses an image of the truth; it's an organic record, a living receipt. There is a cost to living, and it's written there. Yes, there is smoothness in the innocent face of a child, like the bare canvas unpainted or the placid stone awaiting the loving hands of the sculptor. But in the face of a mature woman or man, there reflects the record of a heart broken and mended and broken again, the pain of a child being born, the bitter-sweet embrace when that child stands truly alone and leaves home, and the incomprehensible anguish of a child dying.
Hard choices made; tough love; sacrifice.
It's all right there.
And it's a beauty-- a radiance-- that can truly be appreciated, honored, and loved by another mature human being. Liz, dear friend, I wish that you live long and flourish!
Take care.

and worse
Gail, sometimes I feel like an alien. Not only have I never never had an alcoholic drink but I have never had a cigarette. I have been know to utter a curse word when under stress/pain but that is limited to once or twice a year. We will not elaborate on the fourth sin (sex). lol

forgotten word
I still have this short term memory thing where I have a forgotten word and sometimes don't think of it for hours!
Yes, FH, I agree with Gail - your wife is a treasure!
