"That lampshade makes an interesting hat; is there any tequila left?"

hat head

I love to wear goofy hats, but hate the "hat head" when taking them off!

Sure would love to party with you, TM!!

head shop

I went to the Head Shop to pick up a new bong because mine went super-nova when my brother brought the debate team home and they over-heated the rig.

Here once

Back here, once again. What does tequila taste like? To what liquor could it be compared to?

once even

Gail, I have never tried tequila straight - not once even!  It is used in Margaritas, if you are familiar with them!

I like those things, however!

(Are you familiar with a liquor in a bottle with a worm in it?  Nasty to me, but one brand does that..)  Some drink shots with lime - can make you pretty toasty! :P

Even that

Not familiar with margaritas either. Heard about the worm even though I would not drink it nor eat it.

But I have seen a bottle of I don't know what with a big pear in it. When I asked how can you get that pear in, they explained that they had it grown in the bottle! I imagine that they must have put the branch in and cut it when ready.

that stuff

Tequila will make you crazy; better stay away from that stuff!

Hi Liz, hi Gail.

How does it taste? There are many qualities of tequila ranging from dishwater swill to the nectar of the Aztec gods!

stuff for..

That must be stuff for you to try, Gail - a Margarita!  I think they are really good and especially refreshing in the summer!

No, no one eats the worm, but obviously people drink that Tequila - yuck!

I think that TM has much more experience with Tequila than I :P

For sure

Heard that they ate the worm, for sure. You mean that the worm is in the tequila? TM could validate this. What kind of worm? Surely not the one FH uses for fishing.

Dishwater swill, got that, it's cheap also! I will stick with the red wine and two beers a year in a glass full of ice on really hot days.
That is refreshing!

Liz, maybe that worm could fix that stomach of yours!

sure hurts

It sure hurts if you drink too much tequila.

Tequila is a type of mezcal, but mezcal is not tequila, and only mezcal has worms. According to Anthony Dias Blue's Complete Book of Spirits, that "worm" is actually a larva from one of two types of moths, known as maguey worms, that live on the agave plant.May 4, 2011 wiki

Maybe it's not a good idea to eat the worm. I'd be tempted to dry it out and smoke it!

hurts immensely

Great info, TM!  No eating larva for me - not even smoked! :(

My stomach (intestines, colon?) still hurts immensely.  As much as I hate going to the Dr., I will call tomorrow if this does not let up.  10 days is just too much... :o

Have eaten nothing since about 10am - a cinnamon roll

Immensely entertaining!

Just reading your posts stimulate the mind! Lol!

Liz, as an RN, I recommend you follow a "BRAT" diet--bananas, rice, applesauce or toast. Hope you feel better. All this talk of eating worms is enough to turn anyone's stomach. Ha.

You haven't missed anything by not drinking tequila. They all taste like kerosene. Nothing beats a good glass of Cabernet Sauvignon!

Entertaining topics

Liz, you just gave me the idea. Going back and reading those entertaining topics, sure had many laughs here.

Hey, we should turn that into a book and share the profits. A bestseller for sure.

Liz, please consult, maybe a hair ball stuck somewhere, lol!
Vasiline is what I gave to my cat for that!

So tequila is a type of mezcal, and mezcal is not a tequila like
Cognac is a brandy and a brandy is not cognac!

We sure had some topics (that were) hilarious!  I can remember sitting here laughing so hard I was crying!  Sure would be a great book!

Not sure about the hairball thing - you mean me? :o

Trying to digest all the alcohol stuff...maybe that's what I need, right?

We are a bunch of people who are crazy, but fun!

Yes, it could be from Max - I don't know what I'd do without him (other than not having a hairball!) :P

Crazy in

Seems as though you are crazy in love with Max, and so am I!

The trick is to kiss him with your lips closed tight, this way, no hairball!

Off for the night, enjoy yourselves!♥

Yes, you are right, Gail - French kissing Max should not be in the cards!  Everyone loves him, though (FH may have other ideas, however)

In case that happens again, I'll know why...

Sleep well...

Case closed

Quiet here today! Liz, now that we know the cause, case closed, mouth included!

How are you today? I am having a rough one here, seen that before and it's not the tequila nor the worm.

growing wiser

not sure that applies to me .... growing older would be closer to it ! spectacular day here in DC .... about 70, and absolutely everything is in full bloom ... the cherry blossoms are at their peak down by the Tidal Basin and the river ... and this year I AM going to go down to walk around and enjoy them ... I missed spring completely last year, and vowed that this year I'd make up for that ....

FN, nice of you to stop by. Hey FH! And sweet Liz.

As it often happens I have nothing to add to the word wiser, well just wanted to say I am here!
