once even
Gail, I have never tried tequila straight - not once even! It is used in Margaritas, if you are familiar with them!
I like those things, however!
(Are you familiar with a liquor in a bottle with a worm in it? Nasty to me, but one brand does that..) Some drink shots with lime - can make you pretty toasty!

stuff for..
That must be stuff for you to try, Gail - a Margarita! I think they are really good and especially refreshing in the summer!
No, no one eats the worm, but obviously people drink that Tequila - yuck!
I think that TM has much more experience with Tequila than I

sure hurts
It sure hurts if you drink too much tequila.
Tequila is a type of mezcal, but mezcal is not tequila, and only mezcal has worms. According to Anthony Dias Blue's Complete Book of Spirits, that "worm" is actually a larva from one of two types of moths, known as maguey worms, that live on the agave plant.May 4, 2011 wiki

hurts immensely
Great info, TM! No eating larva for me - not even smoked!
My stomach (intestines, colon?) still hurts immensely. As much as I hate going to the Dr., I will call tomorrow if this does not let up. 10 days is just too much...
Have eaten nothing since about 10am - a cinnamon roll

We sure had some topics (that were) hilarious! I can remember sitting here laughing so hard I was crying! Sure would be a great book!
Not sure about the hairball thing - you mean me?
Trying to digest all the alcohol stuff...maybe that's what I need, right?

growing wiser
not sure that applies to me .... growing older would be closer to it ! spectacular day here in DC .... about 70, and absolutely everything is in full bloom ... the cherry blossoms are at their peak down by the Tidal Basin and the river ... and this year I AM going to go down to walk around and enjoy them ... I missed spring completely last year, and vowed that this year I'd make up for that ....
