bed rock

We drilled for water but hit bedrock!

You see The Dovekeepers? I was atop Masada about a year ago, watching the sun rise over Jordan across the Dead Sea. Very cool.

Rock (and) roll!

Dovekeepers was good. Funny! I was on Masada in October last year, small world! I didn't get to see the sun rise over the Dead Sea but got to swim in it. Silly me, I decided to put my face in it. Ouch!!!!

They stood dumbfounded in front of the tomb, wondering how such a large rock could roll away.

Yes got some Dead Sea in my eyes too. Aaahhhhhh!!! Loved Jerusalem!

Away again

Ready to go back....Jerusalem was good but commercialized. I loved the Sea of Galilee.

You know...

Oh my, Cse....    you know you're dealing with a Cubs fan and a Cardinal fan here - playing each other right now in Season Opener at Wrigley!

BTW, Chicago Blackhawks playing St Louis Blues in hockey game right now too - for 2nd place in Division!

Know baseball

I saw the Cardinals play in 1967 at St Louis but became a Braves fan while living in Jacksonville, FL.

baseball fan

My dad made a Cubs baseball fan out of me when I was about 6!  We lived in a suburb of Chicago and back in those days TV was in black and white! (That tells you how OLD I am!)  WGN was one of the few channels and they always carried the Cubs' games.

My dad was a ballplayer and had been approached by a Scout but didn't go - I often wonder what life would have been like if he had.  So there you have it - lived there for 43 years and can't change my allegiance!

Yep, Jacksonville back then - there were no teams in FL at that time!

Was raised in a family that was not interested in sports. I used to be a fan of a few hockey teams, Flyers I think and the Bruins.

Hi Gail,

Yeah, I grew up around music instead of sports.

Calms too

Had some music too - forced to take Classic Piano for 10 years and hated it!  Also played clarinet in band in Jr. High.  Mother played piano and organ... Oldest son took piano and now plays guitar!

I preferred the sports!  Unfortunately all the Chicago teams (Baseketball, Hockey and Baseball) LOST yesterday!  Blech...

Too bad

Learning to play piano was a dream of mine when I was 5 or so.

I pointed myself at the piano class and the teacher said that my parents had not given permission. If only at the time I could have told them my wish, but no, I kept my mouth shut. Too bad for me!

Badfinger-- rock band from the 70's and 80's. Their hit song Baby Blue was played over the final scene of Breaking Bad.

finger span

I remember that song, TM...

Yes, I took piano from the age of 5 to 15 - problem being that I wanted to take pop and was forced to take classical :(

Things may have been different if I could have had my wish - so I took what was called "acrobatics" at the time!  (Man, am I OLD!!

Between you and I, what is acrobatics?

Badfinger was my group then, loved all there songs, had them on a tape recorder. Going to YouTube to hear it.

Back in the day (a long time ago!) acrobatics was the precursor of Gymnastics....

Wasn't as intense back then

Liz, had that kind of day also. No cardinals yet to be seen, just heard. Still snowing, birdwatching is for later.

Cse, glad that you feel OK!

Liz, let's join our minds and have a prayer for each other♥

Is it?

Really, Gail?  Is it still snowing up there?

You really should come down here - has been almost 90 for several days and that is just too hot for me!

The summer will be brutal, I'm sure :(

It is

Melting snow, 90 is too hot for me also. It is what it is! A few weeks then it will be marvelous! The robins have not shown up yet, they are the sign that winter has finally ended! Can't wait to see one or a cardinal.

Have a good one this afternoon! Better here♥
