Yep, I did...

 

I take Amlodipine for HBP -  5 mg.

Winderful Liz, What I have been able to find is that it increases the side effects of the Amlodipine.

How long have you been taking amlodipine, and how long have you been taking the magnesium supplements?

Any correlation between when you started the magnesium and when your increased anxiety began?

Thanks for the info - Holy Crap!!! Never saw so many side effects!!

 

Have taken Amlodipine for several years, however just started 2nd bottle of 250 mg Magnesium (100 in bottle) so think I will stop them and see if anxiety eases up.

 

Thanks so much - I would have never guessed...  Seems if something is rare, it will apply to me!  Also having side effects from flu shot on Mon. - first time ever

TFL, the thanks go to FishingHat ... who woulda' thought that a "simple" supplement could interact with so many different drugs ...

 

Yet again, a strong reminder to each and every one of us ... don't take any med or supplement or vitamin without first checking them for interactions with everything else we're taking ...

 

Be sure to report in on any changes/improvements in your anxiety level after quitting the magnesium!

TFL, every single one of us here is the "exception" to the rule! The members who we call our "success stories," who come through this hell relatively fast and unscathed are the "typical" (at least according to the asshat docs and pharma folks)....
