KR hasn't been online since 7/2.... at least not using the KR login/profile ... so I'll send this info to them via PM as well as posting it here ...
I think I may have found another supporter of our cause ... Dr. Adriane Fugh-Berman [http://www.exlpharma...ane-fugh-berman] ... She's the director of "PharmedOut," a Georgetown University Medical Center project that educates physicians and consumers about inappropriate pharmaceutical company marketing practices.
http://www.pharmedout.org/index.htm
Her work seems to fit right in there with Drs. Breggin, Healy and Shipko ...
The site has tons of freely available resources -- see the links on the left-hand margin. For example, here are some of the PharmedOut project's publications...

Maybe big pharma has figured it out... they're having a "crises"
found a very interesting article on the web site FN just noted, www.pharmedout.com. i did a search and didn't see that it was posted earlier on this forum, so i apologize if this is old news to this group - it was published in the new yorker in sept 2013:

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to come and address a couple of notes.
With regard to the note from Tyler, we ultimately decided to take it down because we would rather discuss next steps over the phone. We have to be very careful with what we discuss online because it is all discoverable by potential defendants. Furthermore, we can respond to certain posts but it would not be wise to divulge too much information online as the firm handling your cases.
Its easiest to just give us a call at 510-285-2508 or email me at zjohnson@knoxricksen.com with concerns, questions, and updates.
We look forward to continuing to work on all of your claims and thank you for your kind words.

Being on the drug itself is a whole other issue. This lawsuit does not have to do with use or damages while on cymbalta drug BUT discontinuation of drug and the effects. Do not be afraid. Fight and yes I did get a little anxious during depo but you can take a break and take your time. In the end this fight will be saving lives. We have to be brave. This is the fight of our lives.

Tomitsu, I think that as one of the first cases, and being represented as an individual/separate case, you took the brunt of the Lilly response / defense ... you and all the other early cases were the "first wave" ... to continue with the war metaphors, your cases were the first to "hit the beach" ... that kind of legal action is truly "hand-to-hand combat" .... it's what you've done, and survived legally that built the foundation for what's happening now ... thank you from the bottom of my heart!
And yes, you're exactly correct ... KR is focusing on the withdrawal aspect of Cymbalta .... the way I understand / see it is that the damage done by the drug while taking it had to be litigated first, and be brought to a point where there was a body of court decisions against Lilly ... or, sufficient risk to Lilly of one, to force it to settle ... all those cases weigh against the company ...
Now it's time to take on the withdrawal aspect of the drug .... are you also participating in the KR project, Tomitsu?
And yes, we know that Lilly's people read this and all the other anti-antidepressant sites / forums on the web ... hell, they probably have the same level of access that our beloved government alpha-soup agencies have (NSA, CIA, FBI etc) ... and I don't give-a-sh*t ...
If we had an emoticon for the "one fingered salute," I'd use it right here ... &%$@# (note to self, ask Ken/admin if we can have one )

tomitsu & FN
Great posts-- I'm outta 'likes'.
This toxin has interfered with, and altered the lives of so many, and it breaks my heart. I understand what it has done to each of you, and indeed, to me. We will soon know in detail what this toxic drug (that was rushed to market with long-term effects not considered or researched) has done to the lives of countless thousands. One must also consider the collateral psychological damage to the thousands of children under the care of victims of Cymbalta, and that injury will naturally be bestowed upon the society.
Soon a tentacle or two of this greedy corporate octopus Eli Lilly will be severed like the quality of life has been for so many of its victims. With a little luck it will lose its head.
NOTE: No octopus was hurt in the creation of this rant. The octopus is a fellow conscious creature and cousin that I adore! I could have selected other creature-metaphors that historically have been associated with unscrupulous behaviour, like swine or rat. But that's a problem too because rats and pigs are victims of discrimination and vilifying too. Both pigs and rats are impeccably moral creatures toward their brothers and sisters.
Therefore I'll just leave the octopus metaphor in-- after all, I'm just referring to its multiple arms, not its good character! If we need evil references and heartless metaphors we need look no further than our own species.

Anything I can do to help let me know though I live in Ireland (where this company produces and peddles this poison). I'd like to see
- proper warnings (similar to that requested by the FDA on May 15th 2009 )
- proper acknowledgement from the company and the doctors who prescribe of withdrawal syndrome.
- a medically researched withdrawal program for those of us who are severely impaired.
- availability of dosages to allow more gradual tapering (similar to that requested by the FDA on May 15th 2009)
Regards,
Ronnie.

I wrote this to you over in the thread you started, but thought it might be better suited in response to your post here ... so I'm just "cutting and pasting" to cross-post ...
--------------------
Knox Ricksen isn't an international firm, but damn, there should be a lawsuit (or a million lawsuits) against Lilly in every country where they push this poison ...
One of our newer members, Fiddy64, is a blogger and publisher in the UK (my bet, from his avatar, is that he's a Brit) ... he's fighting the same fight over on your side of the pond, so you might want to get in touch with him ... either via PM from this forum (although I saw from his profile that he hasn't signed on here recently), or by visiting his blog ...
Here's the link to his thread on this forum, where he gives more info about himself, including the link to his blog.

If you learn of any UK or European law firms who are involved in Cymbalta / Lilly lawsuits, please let us know here on this forum!

Thanks for mentioning that FH ... was it this ad? http://www.ispot.tv/...ymbalta-warning
This is another firm that's handling PI cases for injuries while on the drug ... Knox Ricksen's, which I think have started running, are specifically for injuries connected to withdrawal ... they aren't doing the PI cases related to being on the stuff....
I've gotta' check on the KR tee vee ads ... (I don't watch tv, not cable or regular, haven't in about 5 years.)

Yep, that they did, FH, and you are correct ... I just checked my emails from Zachary, and he said that they'd hired an advertising firm named Ferrer, Poirot & Wansbrough ...
But this firm is clearly a law firm, based in Texas. I'm going to email Zachary for clarification.
Regardless of who's doing the ad, I'm thrilled !
