Please let us know how your surgery goes, EW.....how long will you be in hospital, what does the recovery/rehab involve, etc? I don't know anything about this type of procedure...... If you've gone into this elsewhere here, I apologize for missing it.....

Thanks so much for your kind words everyone. I will have hip surgery on Wed. I have worn out my plastic shell/liner and it is this that must be replaced. I am grateful that the stem that goes down into my thigh bone is ok. I will only be in the hospital 3 days and my orthopedic surgeon says back in my saddle in 6 weeks! Hope everyone is doing as well as is possible. TheEquusWoman.

EquusWoman... Special thoughts and prayers for your surgery tomorrow. I know that all will go well and hope that your 6 week recovery goes quickly so that you and Hershey can hit the trails again! 
(Withdrawal symptoms about gone by now?)

Surgery finished. Doing well. Been out of bed. Walking in hall. Now with ice bag on hip incision. Hope to be home in a couple days!
