Carleeta,
So happy to hear that you really are back to a real life! Obviously your pain management has really helped you because the last we heard from you it was hard for you to even be on the computer!
Occasional work, gym and cooking - man, you sure are busy! That's great! You are sure outdoing me!
I still have the therapeutic massages every other week and have started acupuncture every other week as well. The pain is almost gone and I feel close to 100% these days!
God Bless
Liz

my positive for today is to get outdoors and grocery shop. Needed to get my fresh lettuce and home grown tomatoes. I positively stopped at the grocery store then to the farmers market, right after work. Yup they called me into the lab this morning. Its positively busy there this week with plenty of specimens coming in. Today we had many ticks coming into the lab and checking for Lyme Disease. The positive news was all these ticks were negative. yipeee its been a positive day.

What a positively different day. My nieces have moved closer to me recently. I positively can't seem to be alone anymore...lol lol lol. They have been here mostly everyday to either cook with me or learn new things...lol. My great niece bought the house next door to mine (she is only 24). My great nephew from Florida has just moved back to this area and he and his girlfriend come over on weekends to spend time with me (he is 19). Tonight I took him and his girlfriend out to dinner. All of a sudden all the nieces, great niece, and they are filling up my heart with their love. I am blessed to have them around once again after they left the area years back. Its great to know as they get older they feel family is so important and they need more of family in their life instead of moving to areas just because they don't have to deal with the winters here in NYS. Actually they like the snow. The moral to this is, I positively do not have to get on a plane and go and see them...yipeeee. I'll be giving my great nephew a nice birthday party a week from today. Its going to be a home birthday party like he had before his mom and dad moved to Florida. Now I just have one niece left in Florida who calls me every single night because she misses home. I have a feeling she might be moving back here within a year or two. Having them all around me would be my dream come true. After all the difficult times through Cymbalta and other antidepressents one thing which always pulls me through is knowing I'm still the head of the family and I need to be strong for them. and that's a positive yipeeee

My positive today is of course, lol, one of my nieces is coming over at 11am today to help me make lumpia (Filipino egg roll) today as one of the items being prepared for my great nephews birthday. yipeeeee. Its quite a job to get these made, especially when Im making over 100 of them. lol lol lol. The positive part is she is coming to spend the time with me to learn how to make this receipe and to keep passing it down. Nope, Im Italian although made these to perfection when I was first married. Its a family tradition we just cannot remove from our recipes. lol lol lol Its going to be a positively yipeeee day, with a few glasses of wine in-between. Have a wonderful positive day to all the wonderful and dedicated members.

My positive for today is that I read Carleeta's wonderful post about her nieces and nephews moving back home, and (essentially) moving in with her ... you are, indeed, blessed Carleeta ... and you share those blessings with everyone who comes in contact with you ... including us here on the forum ... thank you !

My positive today was going back into the city with my great niece. Of course I would never let her drive there..lol lol. Its way to funny. She actually freezes and gets scared. The look on her face is to die for. I have more fun watching every expression on her face. It's definitely a big part of my positive today.

I'm positively getting outdoors today. The sun is shinning, the temp is in the high 70's. There is no reason for me to stay in the house. I positively believe if I'm in pain either physically or emotionally I can choose to stay indoors or go outdoors. Either way there is pain, therefore if I get outdoor I just mind have some fun....yipeeee

10:30am. bath taken, teeth brushed, hair done, makeup on and ready to go out for the day starting with my manicure and pedicure, then the grocery store and then starting to decorate for the party on Saturday. Need to make some tuna fish salad for a cancer patient who is wishing for it before I leave the house. This volunteer work for someone who is suffering way more than I am or have from antidepressants has me thinking more about them than myself. Therefore I start my day with knowing I have a real job to do keeping someone healthy and their immune system up. Don't think about where I was or where I am or where I have been. I just stay in the now. Its a positively good feeling knowing.
