enjoy you day Amy! You deserve it..Raining at the moment, and it's actually kind of a nice break. Normally by this time I'd be up to my eyeballs in weeds and pruning and work in general. I love my job. I actually just posted a link in another thread about the effects of soil microbes on the body and depression....I'll include it here too. But sometimes it's nice to be able to rest a little. The physical effects of withdrawal are tiring, and I feel like I've aged a few years in the past many weeks of withdrawal. So this morning I'm poking around online, watching Law and Order SVU, drinking coffee, resting. Just resting. And feeling so grateful for everyone I've met here and all the support during this process of healing.

Hi Carleeta ... so, you're a "snow bird," eh? I would think that a trip south, to warmer weather and sunshine, would be a lot better for your aches and pains that wintering up north ... Brzghoff and her doc/therapist got a system figured out for how she could keep her health care/meds support system going while she's away this month, I'm sure you'll be able to do the same ...
I want to see a pic or two of your adorable grandson ... any way of sharing?
My positive is that we've got a gorgeous weekend happening here in DC as well ... most welcome after several cold, rainy dreary days last week .. when every bone and muscle in my body was screaming bloody murder .. Aleve is my best friend during those days ... does an OTC med like that do anything for your pain issues?

Well, here is a positive (sorta'). Cubs are on WGN this afternoon, but it's the last game of the season I always go into a funk at the end of baseball season...
Time to get ready for the Bears and the Bulls - and the Blackhawks
I am a forever Chicago sports fan

my positive for the day is that I dragged my still exhausted and achy/sore body (from my tiny little 6 hr work day on Friday) to the 6 pm Mass down the street from me (I even slept most of yesterday afternoon) ... it's a Hispanic community, and they take forever with the "preachifying" and singing ... I had to leave right after I received Communion ... it had already lasted 1 1/2 hours, and with about 500 people there, they still hadn't finished giving it out to everyone ... a marathon ... a lot of us old farts were bailing out
I'm home already, in my jammies and with a cup of herb tea ... settled in to hang out here for a bit before bed ...

FiveNotions. ..yipeeeeee you even went to church...yes Hispanic masses are longer than most, altogether they are beautiful. You're exhausted yet you went to mass..God Bless you.
As for my positively positive day of rest; it didn't happen..lol lol lol...I text my s on and asked him what he was doing because I wanted to get out of the house...We'll he text me back and asked if I wanted to go out and get something to eat. I told him I just ate. ..lol lol...Before you knew it he was on his way to my home and we went to babies r us (fell in love with all halo ween tee shirts, bibs, hats, thermo pants and football halo ween costume.) purchased one of everything...lol lol My daughter in law and the baby were not with us...My s on told me he's not responsible for what i bought...lol lol lol...Then off we went to Best Buy and purchased something for my camera which will send pictures directory to my cell phone, tablet, and pc.. (lol lol...i love a technical chalkenge), then off to dinner, then off to Walmart and finally came home. ..No rest today and gained about 10 lbs because I ate 4 times today..lol lol lol...It was positively productive....and yipeeeeee. ...

It's positively been a beautiful day outside, once again. As the leafs are changing I'm positively getting the warm and home feeling. Went out to a drop off my winter coats for dry cleaning, brought some clothes to be tailored, and stopped by the store to pick up a few odds and ends. I couldn't ask for me today, as I picked myself up and drove myself into the outside world to run my errands. It's been very difficult with anxiety at it's high, although I refuse to give up. I positively know everything is totally up to me to change and taking charge of my own life is positively what I am doing. Each day is a new step and more productive, even though I have set backs from time to time. I'm positively grateful for everything I do have.

Carleeta, I just had an idea for a new forum / topic ... "listing the positively weird events" ...
As you all have probably figured out from some of my posts, especially in the "ebola" thread ... I live in a very large, very "multi-culti" apartment building in the nation's capital ... and I have some rather unusual neighbors/acquaintances in the building ...
My apartment is at the back of the building, overlooking Rock Creek Park ... two "wings" of the 11 story building back here form sort of a "U" shape ... making for some amazing acoustics ... sounds from various apartments are magnified, and come through like "surround sound" into my apartment ...
Well, apparently I've got a number of new neighbors ... and right now, the sounds emanating from their respective apartments ... simultaneously ... are: a man chanting his Islamic prayers at top volume, a group of young people from Africa playing drums and singing, a Hispanic couple having a huge marital spat, replete with pots and pans being thrown, and ... my drunken downstairs neighbor singing Christmas carols ....

hahahah .... great idea ... not sure it would come across the way it really sounds ... also, what goes along with all these sounds are the smells ... the various foods being cooked in each of these apartments ... tonight I can smell curry, meat, like hamburgers or some such, and Spanish something or other ... and one other ... sort of like what I think barbequed yak poop would smell like ... it's a total sensory experience

Well, dear forum friends, I'm signing off for the night. And, thanks to all of you, I'm sure I'll actually be able to get to sleep and stay asleep (well, except for my usual nocturnal bathroom trips ) ... at this point, my kitty Sweetie is likely the most prayed-for kitty in history ... you guys, my priest friend and my other parish priests, me, and even the vet's wife ... if he doesn't live, he's surely going to make it to the Rainbow Bridge to wait for me ... I can be a Peace with that ...
Thank you all, so much, for everything!!

Nighty-night, Carleeta ! I'm calling it a day as well ... as, I suspect, are TFL and CymSik ... sleep well, and may you awake pain-free in the morning ... ditto for Ms TFL and her home flooding and towel washing ... and CymSik ... well, after your recent adventure you surely deserve and need some deep, restful sleep ...
