It's positive Monday and I positively have a bit of a cold. Nothing strong, just bothersome....lol lol. Today I positively have to go for my CT Scan for my back. My plan was to drive there with my cousin today, although she had some down with a fever. Therfore, her husband will be driving me in their car as he isn't used to mine and doesn't want me to drive with this little cold...lol lol.. Ok, I'll let him drive...lol lol. Well the weather is beautiful outside and can't wait to smell some of this fresh air, as I didn't leave the house at all yesterday..(not the usual for me)...lol lol

Positively completed the CT Scan...My anxiety was through the roof, although I did it. This particular CT Scan went up to my upper chest...omg , I thought was was going inside this thing..ouffff! When they stopped one session I immediately yulped "Ummm, I thought I wasn't going that close"..lol lol The tech came out and told me I wasn't in that far and I was in farther 2 min before...lol lol. See, positively my anxiety had me thinking I was in farther...lol lol. It's positively anxiety which cause things to be bigger, and more intense than they actually are....At least the tech named, Edward came over to help me off the table by giving me his hand...lol lol. I told him, "oh, you are what I need at home to get up from my bed, couch, and chair."..lol lol. He laughed and then asked me if I was related to my son because that is his boss. I smiled and said "Yes, he is my son". He then stated, thank God he was on his best behavior...lol lol. It was positively a fun time, in spite of my high anxiety level....

Fishinghat. I did survive, it was a challenge... I wasn't able to do the MRI (I literally ran out of that! lol) so I didn't dare say no to the CT Scan. It wasn't that bad and what bothered me the most is that I had to keep my arms above my head (which hurt me a bit) and the scan made a 'reving sound'.. When I was done it was my shoulders that were stiff from keeping my arms above my head. Once I was done I was so releaved....I'm ok now that I'm out of there...so far....lol lol. Let's see what happens later...lol I know it was my anticipating this which brought me to such a "High anxiety level...over the roof". Taking the valium helped....I took 2.5 mg before I left the house, 2.5 in the waiting room...the full 5mg kicked in, although I should have taken the full 10mg...lol lol....Opted to save the other 5mg if I need it later.....last valium I took was way over a week ago when my pain was very bad. Rather take the valium than the flexeril...Surviving something like that can be a real challenge Carleeta. If your like me you pay for it afterward.

carleeta: congrats getting through the CT!
if you ever need to do an MRI - you CAN do it. i had been in the hospital for a week and they wouldn't let me leave 'til i got an MRI of my abdomen. in other words, i was being held hostage. i would do anything to get out of there and i didn't have much choice. they gave me a benzo and i even fell asleep partway through - which meant we had to do a few "takes" again, but that was how relaxed i was. it ended up taking an hour, but i made it. so if you gotta, you can!

brzghoff, ha ha ha ha..no MRI..tried it, Valium and all..lol lol..and it was an open one...lol lol...It was for my head and all seemed ok till I waited over an hour and a half to go in..Valium wore off by then..Did sit on table. .lol lol..then they told me to lie down and they would put this mask over me that looked like 'hannibal'..Nope..to close for comfort...lol lol...Then they said I could have ear plugs because I would hear a loud jackhammer sound...and i couldn't move my head..which would take an hour...NOPE! I said bye. ...that was it...I know I couldn't do an MRI...lol lol...They would have to knock me out! ..lol lolcarleeta: congrats getting through the CT!

TFL, there you are! How are you doing / feeling now?
I just got home from visiting my friend in the nursing home ... that's one of my positives for the day ...
An hour trip each way on the bus, which I enjoy because I get lots of praying done ... and today, it was all for you, TFL ! So, there's another positive ...
My friend was only able to stay awake for about 15 min.... during which time I was able to get him to eat two spoonfuls each of meat, potatoes and veggies ... then, boom, right back to sleep ... so I headed home ... he's getting ready to go home to God, and I'm sure now that it will be peacefully in his sleep .... and that's my third positive ...
Oh, wait ... I've got a fourth positive ... and for me, it's a "biggie" .... today is the first day of my 9th month off crapalta! December 4, 2013 was the start of my "excellent adventure" .... wow!

TryinginFl....Oh my dear what has this terrible experience done to you. Certainly, without a doubt, it's so understandable. Hopefully, you have explained to your son what you are going through.
It appears, after this horrible experience with your flight, you have reached an extreme level of anxiety, which won't come down. I do understand you have an added fear here with the trip to Hawaii, and the possibility (it seems to be more true to happen than a possibility) of now two hurricanes hitting Hawaii. I certainly understand how fearful this trip is, and truthfully I would be going through exactly what you are. Please don't be so hard on yourself. I would be in tears, ranting, and raving and trying to find what best to do to calm myself down. I don't like saying this too often, although would a glass of wine help you right now? This does not mean you have to go to Hawaii at all. If you need to be home in Florida where you will feel safer than by all means you need to do this. Don't push yourself, nor let others convince you you need to attend, unless you feel safe doing so.
I'm praying for you, TryinginFl. Please keep us posted..and please take care of your health....

last night i was cleaning out our medicine drawer in the kitchen. lots of outdated stuff, everything from OTC meds to nutritional supplements and yes, prescriptions meds. then in the very back hidden by nasal spray bottles, pet meds, ointments and salves there was a very large bottle. a 90 day prescription for 60mg cymbalta. the trashcan was in the middle of the floor. i walked back to the corner about 15 feet away and lobbed it - swoosh! out of my life!
only thing in there now are nutrional supplements, my lamictal, my hubby's ambien, ibuprofen, sudafed, and three bags of halls mentholyptus.

Hey Carleeta, big congrats! That's wonderful ... next thing ya' know, we'll be hearing that you've bought a fire engine red convertible, and are bombing around town with the top down, drinking a six-pack of "Genny" beer ! (That's Genesee Beer, for all you non-New York-staters ...)

Yup, I positively did drive around two times...Didn't like the roads that didn't have any street lights or white lines in the road, although I did drive 2 miles twice. yipeeeee. I admit it was difficult and the bright lights on the on coming cars are bothering me...... Although, wow....10 pm at night and I'm out driving at night for the first time in a long time...lol lol Should have tried about an hour ago....either way... I did it....yipeeeee.....
congrats carleeta- i would have "liked" your post but the system said i am out of likes for the day, and this was the first one i tried to post today. maybe it means in a 24 our period.

TryinginFl and FiveNotions....Yup it was a big accomplishment for me. Not that I will do it again, although I might give it a try another night. lol lol lol..FiveNotions, you are so funny I had tears rolling down my face laughing so much.. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. You are so close in what you said, it was that funny. When I was younger I had a 1976 Red Transam...lol lol lol... OMG Genny Beer, out of Rochester, NY...ha ha ha ha ha... Our area drank Utica Club, I believe, and now it's Saranac...lol lol lol. Our family wasn't as big on beer as it was wine...lol lol lol... Today's beer at our gatherings are Corona with a slice of lime..lol lol lol.. They must enjoy the imported brews...lol lol lol. Didn't have a convertible for two reasons, the snow in the winter, and people slicing them up to try and steel the cars....it was a no no in my family...lol lol. Today is sunroofs and moon roofs....same thing to me....lol lol lol

It's a beautiful day outside and I positively do no feel like cleaning my house at all, even though there are things I could tidy up...lol lol lol. I did just clean the inside of my SUV's windows because they had a film on them when they cleaned it yesterday.hmmmmmm! Need to get out today and buy my cousin's grand daughter's some outfits for her new arrival...yipeeee. Then I need to go to a different store and buy my other cousin's daughter, who will be turning 10 a few outfits for her birthday on Friday Wow going from an infant to a 10 year old...
Started to plan where I'm going to have the Christening (Baptism) ceremony dinner for my soon to be grandson. The kids (my son and daughter in law) would like to have it on the water somewhere. Oh how they wanted their wedding on the water also at this certain place, although it was not big enough for the number of people we invited...lol lol. Therefore, I'm planning on having it where they wanted their wedding. Will be finding out in a few days if they will hold this event on a Sunday....fingers crossed...lol
I'm absolutely in awe at what a positively beautiful day it is outside...thinking of just walking out to get my mail and breathe in this beautiful day.....ahhhhhh
