My positive for today: 2 miles@ 3mps in 45 mins, including warm up and cool down, stretching before and after. I pushed myself and nothing hurting so far. I want to get back to walking everyday. Along with being a good exercise, walking helps me mentally.
One of the best things, my dogs stretch with me. The big one has always stretched with me. The little one thinks I'm playing with him.
More positives for all of us.

Clearglass. ..wonderful..too funny about your pups, made me laugh and laugh..lol lol...Just something if I might add...please go slow on your work outs and then work your way up so this way you won't be sore tomorrow or burnt out...For me, I'm a workout nut, lol lol...I work out spring to fall on a regular basis, starting slow my first first week and getting around the circuit twice at the one month mark...My only experience od a slight soreness is the first week after that, the slight soreness is still there on my way toward the increase...after I hit the first month I'm pretty steady with no soreness..Stay there for the next eight months...I usually take off December, January, and February due to winter weather...You keep at it my friend! My positive for today: 2 miles@ 3mps in 45 mins, including warm up and cool down, stretching before and after. Clearglass. .wow I've had my knee bothering me also this year...comes and goes...hmmm...Well anyway keep it slow on the treadmill, and keep it up! I miss the treadmill so much..Used it all year round when I trained for the 15k each year in our area...Then I gave up running when I reached my early 50's...lol lol...My knee is still hurting, but I'm getting back on the treadmill today. Starting low, so I keep going.
Wishing you all a Happy Monday!!!

I'm positively getting my home in order (somewhat. .lol lol) will positively take some time, and I know I need to be patient. ..lol lol lol.
Just to keep me patient, I did two circuits this am at curved...Wow I needed to relieve all the tensed up muscles I generated in the last two weeks...lol lol
I'll positively be more proactive on this site now what things are starting to settle down..
Goodnight my friends!

Wow - Carleeta and Clearglass! You are really "work out junkies"! Good for you - I wish I could get that excited...
I did use the stationary bike again yesterday, but am unable to do any lengthy walking due to osteoarthritis in my feet (ouch!). I have been working up by a minute each time I use it so I feel that I am at least doing something! I really love the aqua fitness and am looking forward to it starting the middle of next month!
Happy to hear that everyone had a good Easter! I miss family on these days but both sons called from the west coast which was comforting
As always,
Love, hugs and Prayers,
Liz

I agree with you Carleeta. I was not sore today. I am sticking with this pace for a while. My hubby and I are also walking the dogs some nights; a tired dog is always a good dog. I am going back to a size 6 no matter how long it takes.
I'm so glad you're in your new home and your bed.
If we were close, I would come help you unpack.
I hope everyone's enjoying the nice weather, if you have it.

All this took almost ten hours, because I first had to buy the new Microsoft office suite, which requires download from the net...and of course I ran into problems...but that's also a positive, as I actually had the patience and thought process to work through the problems, including an online chat with some tech dude about a third my age....
anyway, I dumbed the resume down a whole lot....to correspond to my feeling that I need to set the bar lower for my "re entry" to the work world....and as I read it, I must say that I sound rather competent ..... That's definitely a positive.....
Next baby step....send it off to the employment agency that placed me in a couple of my previous jobs....I'm not even going to think about what I'll do if I get an interview .... That's also a positive, because it means I'm not freaking myself out in advance...
So, I think I've racked up 4 positives today....
and I'm looking back to where I was just a few months ago...feeling lost and hopeless and thinking about applying for disability.....I could not have made it this far without all of you....thank you!

FiveNotions, I agree with Wagtail. Lots of positives in 1 Day. Great!!!
I also agree with you; I could not have come this far and learned so much without everyone here. I'm still looking for a job and know I will find one soon.
I'm going out with some of my Best Friends this weekend. I always have a good time with them.
Have a Great Weekend All.

Good concept Carleeta!
Positive events stimulate the production of dopamine, and they aid in re-establishing those diminished pathways!

I think what's making it a bit different for me than you is that I don't have any other major health issues (like your Lyme disease).....lymes, the more I read about it, can be horrendously complicated and hard to treat....esp. that article I posted about depression and anxiety being symptoms of it!
Crapalta caused me to have hypertension and tachycardia, which disappeared after a couple of weeks of the poison....
I am still taking wellbutrin for dopamine deficient depression....but that's next on my list to get off ....as I really don't know if I even need it (doc put me on it 15 yrs ago)....
And, I still have, and have had since childhood, anxiety, which can become panic, but my only panic attacks in recent years came during the first several months off cymbalta..... I'm doing ok so far in managing the anxiety with yoga, meditation and some supplements (placebo.a maybe, but fine by me if so).... the anxiety is the worst in the mornings, when sometimes I feel almost frozen and afraid to get out of bed....I've taken inspiration from you and others here ...and I just try to drag myself out of bed and get moving.... (I do have an rx for benzos, just in case. That gives me a sense of security, I think.)
Sleep is also a bit elusive, although I think it's improving little by little...again, I'm working on it without drugs....again, I have an rx for meds, but haven't needed to resort to it in several months......

We are rehabbing our brains thru the positives.
Just to know that you have a lower BP and HR (overall) is a great thing in and of itself. If we hadn't gotten off the crapalta I honestly believe that each of us would be looking at some form of coronary artery disease and/or heart rhythm disorder. Genetics and life style aside, this drug is bad news for the heart and it's blood vessels! I am positively happy we are off of, or working towards getting off of, crapalta! Yippee
And Yippee to FN on the CV update and putting it out there.
Have fun Clearglass!!

Hey, another positive.... emailed my resume to the agency, just got a call back....they want me in for an interview this coming Monday morning! the job is part- time, 20-25 hrs a week, and at decent pay rate ....just what I've been praying for.... And, frosting on the cake, the work location is 8 blocks down the street from my apartment building!
Now I'm feeling anxious about all this good stuff happening.... heh heh heh....
Keep your fingers crossed for me....
Oh Fn, I am so happy for you. Seems perfect in all aspects. Location, hours, decent pay, wow!
Of course, bringing something new in our lives can bring anxiety, and that will pass. Go for it!
