Thanks FiveNotions, Fishinghat, ThisMoment and TryinginFL (I wish we had more 'Likes' per day. )
I'm not going anywhere; we still have a way to go. I see my Dr. next week to determine when to start tapering clonazepam.
Speeking of which, TryinginfFL, I have noticed other medication packing a punch as the Cymbalta leaves my body. I was taking 1mg/per day of clonazepam. Now I take .25 in the morning, .25 in the afternoon, and .5 at bedtime, so I can make it through the day.
Have to run to a group meeting. I hope this is a good day for everyone.
clearglass
Hey ClearGlass, after you see the dr about the clonazepam let me know. I know a good way to get off benzos with little problems.

No I did not Clara. I love to fish but I find catching is highly over rated. You got to stand up, reel it in, take it off the hook and then out it on the stringer. Whew, that really sounds like a strain. lol I did manage to stretch out in the sun and do nothing. Now that is nice!!! You have a great weekend also Clara.

clearglass....HOOOORAAAAY!!! Happy to hear that you're feeling better now - I hope that you have very few (if any) w/d symptoms after finally getting off this crap!! You must feel so wonderful!
I woke up feeing really good this am and if this continues, I feel I can get back to some exercising! Next step is to clean up my mess of dishes in the kitchen and it WILL be done today
Yesterday, I went 2 doors down to visit a friend who was not feeling well (he hadn't slept in 3 days) and did not go to church as a result, but felt that I was needed elsewhere. He is doing much better today and just brought me lunch (Mexican from a lunch truck!). That visit was a true positive for us both
I wish all of my wonderful friends here a happy and relaxing day...
Hugs and Prayers,
Liz

I spent the morning reviewing this thread. Clareeta you can sure make us laugh! I enjoyed learning how to turn off the gong of the GF clock--a wee bit late LOL. Yet now I know going forward. Yes forward!! Liz and Clearglass have lots of smiles and good stories of endurance, preservation--pulling self's up by the boot straps! FiveNotions and Wagtail are inspiring me to just do it! Clara is checking in on us all Sweet!
A few weeks ago a friend stopped by and told me he has taken to fly-fishing as a hobby; taking classes and learning how you catch the fish w/o damaging (via special lures without hooks) and making organic bate and releasing the fish. Now this seems like work, huh Fishinghat?? Yet appealing to be out in a stream with fresh air and sunshine and no trauma or stinky bate...
I had to bring one of our aging canine members home early from our trip, as she was disoriented. Being 60 lbs. +, she had a difficult time on the hardwood flooring versus the known tile and rug areas. Alas I am back to my friends, here. I must admit it was not exactly tent camping, but it was still work prepping for and then returning home from the trip. I am worn out.
The weather was not the usual Texas spring time: Sunshine and warm temperatures. Still it was good to get away from the routine and it is good to return to "the routine" as well. Lemons to lemonade...Cheers!
I positively had a good time and was able to get rid of some of the crapalta toxins in my body and fat cells. TMI??
Watched a few good movies (happy for the satellite TV after all). Hitch, White House Down, Spiderman. A varied selection from a random station...
I wonder how EQWoman is doing...
We will positively make it thru this time and into better days. And further, into stretches of days!! Yes!!

Sorry to hear about your senior canine ....I used to have a 20 yr old Persian cat that I'd rescued....she was deaf as a stone post and partially blind....my whole life revolved around her towards the end....and she was worth every moment of the effort...I still miss her....
Fly fishing is an art as much as a sport....my dad was a complete fanatic...eastern stream trout fishing...he tied his own flies....and taught me as well....in fact, my very first baby picture was of me in the bassinets, with a large trout lying next to me....my dad wrote on the back that the trout was slightly larger than me, but that I was "still a keeper"...
And there, in a nutshell, is why I'm nuts.... :-D

MY POSITIVE For today ,
after suffering a relapse for 4 days I made the effort to go to the gym today .
I've been wanting to do a yoga class in the hope that it will help with my anxiety & tone me a little.
MY POSITIVE is that I made it through the 75 min class.
I had no idea what I was doing but managed to follow the others , OMG it was damn hard. Lots of sweat , so It will be interesting to see if I relapse again tomorrow... Hopefully I got rid of a ton of CRAPALTA today .
I almost didn't do it , I was waiting for the class to start, & being surrounded by approx 30 strangers I felt overwhelmed & teary.
Can't believe how emotional I am ATM .

Yay wagtail! I absolutely need to find a yoga class near me. This "self isolation", for lack of better words is not good for me! Just gotta get off my flabby butt and do it! Thanks again for the humor, Fivenotions! Where is Carleeta? Hope she's ok!!!! Have a great day all!!!!! clara

Wagtail....75 min. of Yoga???? Wow - you are something! I would like to try Yoga myself but certainly don't feel that I could get through 75 min! I need to get my flabby butt over to the Sr. Center to see if they offer it
....And here I thought I was good doing 10 min on the bike! Ha ha! I'm with FN there (Plus I HATE to sweat) Probably why my favorite is the aqua fitness - oh hurry and warm up pool! Don't like the stationary bike either, but do it cuz I feel I should - especially since I'm now feeling good - woke up feeling great this am!
You know, I have noticed that since my body has been getting rid of that crapalta, my pain is less....could that have been a side effect and I didn't know it?? Not feeling any pain since my short bike ride yesterday, either... I still have the arthritis and fibro but the pain has really lessened. (Not taking the Lyrica any more either)
I hope that all of you are having a GOOD day and that you are feeling better, Wagtail. I have found myself to be extremely emotional also, but I think that's just me. My son who is getting married in Aug. has offered to buy my dress and I cried!
Hugs and prayers to all,
Liz

FiveNotions-awesome story! You are positively "a keeper"!!
Now I'm drying about the wedding dress-yet a happy cry!
Wagtail has just inspired me to get up and get outside. TY to her and to all.
Clara, I also wonder what Carleeta is up to...I have a hunch it is a positively big step with the new home closing involved!

Xman... I'm sorry - I forgot to welcome you back!! My brain is still not functioning up to par but then I doubt that it ever will again..
I hope that your elderly pup is getting around better at home. I understand about the 'getting away from the routine' and back to it again. I am not looking forward to that trip half way around the world in Aug. and leaving my fur babies! Thankfully, I love the gal who will be taking care of them and they do too
I hope that all is getting better for you - all of you are always in my thoughts! I find myslelf thinking of all of you when driving or just doing whatever...
Hugs and prayers to all,
Liz

Hello Friends, Feeling good; being tired is my strongest symptom. I’ve also learned I cannot take my meds with coffee and my vitamins w/o food, so no stomach aches.
Fishinghat, Will you share a way to get off benzos with little problems, the clonazepam is really knocking me out. My Dr. is okay with whenever I want to start. Right now I would like to drop the dose a little; 1 mg/per day- spread out now. When I take it at night, I'm so knocked out, my husband keeps checking to see if I'm ok.
Xman, glad to see you back. Sorry about your dog.
Wagtail, Way to go with Yoga!
I’m also taking actions to complete my Ed.M at Temple.
I hope you all are having a good day.

Thanks CG. This is a procedure called water titration. If gives you good control of your withdrawal. I have used this the last 3 times with no withdrawal.
1st - I assume, considering your dose that you are taking 0.5 mg twice a day.
2nd - Powder (in a mortar and pestal) one days dose (1 mg).
3rd - Dissolve your daily dose in 100 ml of water. Shake well.
4th - Shake well and pour out 50 mls and drink it. 50 mls will hold .5mg. Do this twice per day.
To make a cut follow the above procedure through step 3. At the end of step 3 you will have 1 mg in 100 ml. To make a three percent cut remove 3 ml from that 100 ml solution. Then add make 3 ml of water. Still take 50 mils twice per day. To make a 6% cut just remove 6 mls for the original 100 mls and add back 6 mls water.
The rule of thumb is any cut of 3 % or less will give you no or little withdrawal. Like usually each person is different. I know that I can usually handle 5% cuts with little or no withdrawal. Once you make a cut any withdrawal would start around day 2 and should be gone by day 8 or 9. The safest way is to make a cut every 14 days. You will learn quickly what pace works for you.
If you have any questions let me know.

One thing I forgot to mention is that benzos are not real souble in water so it is important to shake the solution well before adding to it, removing from it or drinking it.

Thanks so much Fishinghat. I think we have a mortar and pestal. My husband is a self-proclaimed chef and buys every cooking tool he can get his hands on .
