After the last time i quit cymbalta, Which wasn't really a choice since i at that time was homeless and couldn't even afford food, much less medication, i've been literally terrified of getting off these pills. After three days sleeping in the street, going from 120mg to 0 instantly, i took a cocktail of methadone, benzo and a bottle of wine and came to in a hospital bed. i survived only because of high tolerance due to prolonged substance abuse. I was on Cymbalta the next day as soon as social services paid for it.
Anyway, that was about two years ago and since then it's been rough. Serious overdoses regularly, self-harming behaviour, panic attacks to the point where i couldn't step outside the door even to shop food. About 7 1/2 months ago i checked myself into rehab and after 6 months i moved to a family in rural sweden (social services has a program for placing clients in normal family homes). I've been going down in dosage for two months now, from 120mg to 60 and the withdrawal is really bad. I've abused everything from alcohol to heroin and this withdrawal is definitely up there in the top ten somewhere.
Besides from the usual array of serotonergic withdrawal symptoms i've been getting really intense cramps and chestpains. The feelings's kinda similar to the start of an epileptic seizure though it hasn't evolved into such an attack yet. Sharp stabbing pain in the heart also accompanies theses symptoms which arise sporadically. I've stopped taking ritalin and lowered my concerta dosage and these symptoms still remain, anybody else here have experience with interactions between these drugs?
Im also taking Heracillin (an antibiotic)for an open flesh wound on my hip which i've had for about two years. Originally a pressure wound from lying still in the emergency room too long, it soon got a real bad caso of necrosis and almost got to the point of amputation. Anybody experience interactions with antibiotics?
And finally, some questions of alleviation. This prozac method seems interesting but since my former doctor quit i haven't really got a replacement and the doctor writing my prescriptions doesnt even want to talk to me so it could prove difficult to obtain. Since duloxetine is metabolised by certain enzymes in the liver though, isn't it possible to slow down the metabolisation process of the duloxetine instead?
I´d rather avoid benzo, since it would be playing with fire. anybody found z-analogues helpful?
antihistamines, neuroleptica?
