I am so relieved after reading all of these comments from cymbalta withdrawal sufferers. I have been off for one week and until I saw this website I thought I was dying. I kept trying to think how I would tell my husband. I definitely have the brain zaps and nausea. I can sleep without nightmares but the dreams are SO VIVID. I can't concentrate, can't think, can't focus, feel dizzy, feel like I'm standing on the ledge of the tallest building. Freezing, then pouring sweat, then freezing, then pouring sweat. I am absolutely miserable. But my worst thing (and this started when I was still on the drug) is the incessant ringing in my ears! It just won't go away and I read one article that said for some it never goes away. Without exaggeration I can tell you that I feel as if I'm going mad. This is the original reason I wanted to get off the drug -- the infernal ringing! My doc put me on a low dose of Prozac while I "weaned" from cymbalta, but the weaning process was only four days. From four months at 60 down to four days at 30, and then cold turkey. I have muscle spasms too. I haven't started crying or crabbing at people; please, God, tell me that's going to happen next. I wish I never went on this horrible drug (it was prescribed for depression). Please tell me that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Hey Meg,
Nah ur not goin crazy. I have 75% of those exact listings. The vision issues are really bad for me as well. My first entire week at zero I couldnt see anything. Literally couldn't even watch tv because I could make anythin out. I would play a familiar movie and just listen. By week two that did get better. I still hav vertigo episodes but I can see well enough to stop squinting and watch a movie still however can't read a book. My eyesight is 20/20 no glasses or anything so it's absolutely the withdrawal. As for the ringing I didn't experience that however I did experience debilitating migraines weekly and headaches daily. All which stopped when I went to zero. From ppl I have talked to and my own experience the worst is days 3-6 then things level off a bit. I'm at day 18 and feel ok up until about 6pm and then feel bad all night. But week one I was in bed so it's a step up :P my doctor offered me Prozac as well but at this point I am done with meds never again. Considering many experience vertigo and migraines I wouldn't be too alarmed about ear ringing. Give it a month off cymbalta then if it's still there ild worry. Most I talk to don't feel better until a month so hang in there :)
