"...or just ask Hat about his boat which got the brunt of his anger phase!"

My anger got so bad that once I went out and hit my boat so hard with my fist that it left a dent in the metal pontoon. Serious anger. What this drug withdrawal is capable of doing to your brain is horrible.

I do private tuition and I found myself shouting at students for no reason. I couldn't control it.

Cymbalta withdrawal is full of symptoms you just can't control. Trying to overpower these symptoms by mentally bearing down simply don't work. Concentrating can't stop a chemical reaction (such as neurotransmitters and synapses).

I appreciate Tinnitus and Duloxetine are best pals and have some form together but does Tinnitus have a muffled/blanket over that ear symptom as well as the ringing...or is it supposedly just the ringing?

Hope everybuddy is well

xx

Due to there being serotonin receptors in the ear, nothing akin to, and including tinnitus, would not surprise me at the point along the journey. As with all these things, they will all pass in time.

Double figures!! You are doing great :)

Day 11.....and I have been SLEDGEHAMMERED

Every single hard worked for positive thought in my body has been replaced by overwhelming body pain and lethargy and depression.....bed the whole day. Could not fight it

Day 10 of all my tapers so far was the day when the shit usually hit the fan.....it's a day late. How's that for improvement?

So sorry my friend - and yes, this is where the withdrawal kicks in when your body has search everywhere for more of the drug. You have traces left in fat reserves which will still be absorbed into the system a fair few days after you stop completely, so its not something to worry about. You had a bit of a "honeymoon" period and just when you think you're on it... BAM!

Same thing happened years ago when I told my doctor I wanted to come off my Citalopram and he told me to halve the dose that week, then half again on the second week and then stop after two weeks.

I was fine for just over a week and I felt the worst I have ever known. It was after this that I needed to think for myself and I have never looked back. But you will see the other side of this. You have done so well until this point. Just a bit of a rollercoaster now for a bit I'd expect

Day 5  since stop..

Guys can I expect sore bones and spine and stuff at this stage.....? Feel shit and blocked and ringing ear still...feel like I can't straighten up

I have Ankylosing Spondylitis and all problem zones are sCREAMING!...from temples to arse bone. I also feel like someone is gonna hit me with the most awful news....as fate would have it, sister was rushed to hospital and her weight is down to 5 stone. She is going through all the tests....low BP and low blood count as per mystery infection...

"bone" pain is fairly common, especially with people with fibromyalgia. I don't see why your condition would be any different.

my back hurts so much too. it's the same pain i got in 2018 when i reduced from 30 to 20mg. can't forget this symptom. it's not like sore muscles...it's like burning bones or carrying heavy weights. can't describe.

Others have mentioned this as well. The only thing I can add is that most showed a lot of improvement in this symptom after being off Cymbalta several months.

It is to be expected. Withdrawal symptoms often last 1 to 3 years after coming off. I don't think you will have that long of a withdrawal though.

Unfortunately yes. As I said before, the real withdrawal starts when you are no longer taking the drug. The word withdrawal itself means to be without the drug. Dropping your dose whilst still taking the drug is tapering. But I would imagine given your trajectory, you might see another 2-3 weeks of rollercoaster and then it should start to flatten out bit by bit. I know this time might seem like an eternity, but you have done well this far with the initial two weeks. You will get there soon and this will all just be a dream...

We have see all sorts of the forum, but years rather than months is very rare. We know so little about the brain and unfortunately it is the one that takes the longest to "heal", the GI system being a close second place....

I find 9 months to be minimum. One to 2 years common. Sorry. But considering what you have experienced so far I don't expect it to take that long.

WD can occur in windows and waves, but waves become shorter and weaker. My Dystonia has subsided, came back (fewer) and is just improving again. You have to be so patient.

Guys I know you have kinda answered this for me many times......every 10 days AFTER a taper I'd go into depression/anxiety mode and after a few days it would lift and so the cycle continued,

even when I was tapering very small doses

but it's almost 3 weeks since last DULoxetine and I would say I felt better when tapering TBH, even during the last few weeks of taper, but this 20 day clear run of mine has been NO PICNIC

Drugs are sh*t man

Right after the last few beads leads to the toughest withdrawal BUT it WILL get better.
