LOL.... Good research Hat!!

Jon - I used to have a German bilingual partner and I was forever getting the masculine/feminine wrong. Crazy how some Germanic languages work...

I mean, how can you apply a gender to a TABLE?! :P

10 days ago I went from 5mg to 2.5mg and alternating feeling flat/anxious/depressed....struggling to sleep at night for first time in a while....quite awake.

Wee moments of clarity intermixed with feeling of dread. Just got the TRUMP SCOTUS news and it has hit me much more than it should. With feelings like that over overseas politics I know things are not right in the head department........it's the withdraws, yeah? I am in the hardest of the WD times, yeah?

Saturday will be the last capsule and I am feeling a little apprehensive/scared...it's the WD,right?

John

hi looney,

insomnia is quite normal. at the beginning of withdrawal i slept from 3 til 5 a.m. for many months. i was so tired, but i couldn't find some sleep and developed akathisia.

don't think about if it's WD or not and let it come to you. if things get worse you can go back to your last dose.

It is common, it is the withdrawal and it is miserable but it will pass.

2....

struggling and tearful but the tears will not come.....it's 12 days since last 50% drop (5mg to 2.5mg) and would normally have recovered from drop-down at this point but the symptoms continue...going to stop today and forget the last two caps....maybe not the wisest of choices, but enough is enough.....expecting the 100% drop (2.5 to zero) to be BRUTAL and long lasting...

Mind not clear and VERY negative about everything.....DUL is easily the equal or worse than Diazepam taper....I look like CNN's Jake Tapper....Ha Ha, Jake Tapper with the perma taper look

Hopefully speak soon when I am up to it

xx

Thank you for sharing painful memories LeVana...

I really understand where you are coming from and how much it can affect us all in so many ways.

Jon - just take heed and do not be too proud to cut back a bit.

REMEMBER, just because you hit 0mg doesn't mean it is over - the withdrawal has only just started.... please don't rush it

IUN

Day 4 since stop

Very odd, feel strangely calm and relaxed during the night and same this morning....bones everywhere SORE...not fed up or anxious but a little indifferent and lacking in any motive to take a walk....nice dreams for a change.....expecting the merde to hit the fan on day 10 though....I feel urine system and number 2's system, even breathing system are all readjusting........feeling HUNGRY at times too.....I expect the sore bones are rebound for whatever painkilling effect the DULOXETINE had on body.....what a horrible drug

i´m off since august 2023 (reinstated for 14d in november 2023) and still suffering.

to Trump: hopefully we will get through it again...but i´m concerned about his statements on Russia/Ukraine. he shouldn´t rush into anything...he behaves like a bull in a china shop.

I often abstain from politics for many reasons - the most of all being that I get so wound up about the havoc caused. The UK has got its own problems without considering the rest of the world....

Some mild sweats and some mild bad dreams but the stomach cramps were something else......I felt all my intestines were unravelling after DUL30 for 6 months

An emotion that has been missing for 2 years is now coming to the fore......ANGER.....I guess we need anger all the same for some reasons but if I ever see that Doctor again......;)

LV

I appear to be improving but I am always reluctant to say so since things can go to shit quickly

Did I ask you already, are you OFF Cymbalta by now?

Yeah, anger for the Doctor as I told her after 10 days on Cymbalta that they were causing me problems and not for me but she insisted i stay with them

Stay well darling....I don't know what to say since I don't know if you are on /using anything

xx

oh looney, you asked twice or so 🤭
i'm off dulox completely, since august 2023. i switched to escitalo.

i know, things can change suddenly. sometimes within minutes or hours. it happens to me daily and it's sooo annoying.

plz continue to update us.

LOL Silly me  :)

You hang in there and try your best to remember that these blips are just temporary....is the Escitalopram not working for you?

The anger can often often ramp up during these time, and can been something else. A small trigger and you end up going bat-shit crazy. Been there myself... or just ask Hat about his boat which got the brunt of his anger phase!

But all the same, it is great that you are improving along the way. You have done well and come out this far quicker than most. Just hang in there and these things will all be a dream.

@LV - Again, I am so sorry for what you are going through. It seems as though we are a little in sync as today has seen more depression come at me. I had a couple of cancellations for work, so I was having a real difficulty keeping myself busy, and we both know how bad it is when we just sit alone with our thoughts. I really hope there is some improvement just round the corner for us both. Take care...

it starts working yet, i think. especially since last week. i got really bad side effects: intrusive thoughts, suicidal thoughts, feeling of going crazy, derealization and so on.

how are you today?
