I've heard CBD oil is very effective in treating anxiety.

I'm wondering if I could use it to wean myself off Cymbalta, or at least reduce the dose.

It's only recently legal in Australia with a doctor's prescription.

CBD oil has no hallucinogenic properties and is 100% natural. It comes from the non-psychedelic component of the marijuana plant.

Any experiences to share?

Thanks everyone.

We have a member called "IUN", which stands for invalidusername, that is very knowledgeable on this subject.  He usuably posts responses every few days and I am sure he can help you with this. You might also send him a private message if you are in a hurry for the information.

Thank you Hat, and yes, my post is where I would have initially guided you to. First and foremost, make sure you purchase from a reputable company as there are so many out there which I swear, are simply selling olive oil for $30/20ml!!

Have a read of my post, it will get you started, but if you would like any more information, please let me know.

I'm back to report that I've reduced my cymbalta dosage from 120mg to 90mg with no side effects at all, over a one month taper, while taking CBD oil .25mg per day first week 0.5mg per day second week then 0.75mg per day from there. Now tapering slowly down to 60mg and really think I can do it. Have also stopped taking agomelatine at night 25mg altogether. CBD oil works for anxiety and depression! I'm here to let you know! This is great news for our community. FYI I'm using the pure oil - no THC in it - there is no effect at all when I take it. I am so happy to have taken this pressure off my liver, where our antidepressants are mainly processed. I haven't been at a stable mood on 90mg for more than 3 years. I think there is a strong likelihood I can drop my dose to 60mg and maybe even further by supplementing with CBD oil. I really recommend giving CBD oil a go if you're having trouble tapering off cymbalta. Best of luck everyone.
