Trying to get off of this poisonous drug. Need support and help!Down from 120mg to 7mg.
Am currently taking 18 beads 2x per day. A split dose method. 4 am and 4 pm. Pausing to stabilize.

I want to quit cymbalta. I want to taper again. I'm at 14 beads morning and 14 beats evening. I did 13/14 yesterday and 13/14 today and it's hard to know whether it's these small decreases or just very difficult life circumstances that are causing mood changes and dizziness. It seems there is never a good time for me to get off of this medication I have been trying for 5 years I started at the highest dose possible which is I think 120mg for a 6 months and I'm down to counting beads still, for the past 4 years and guys I'm ready to be done.

I don't know what to say. Those last 20 beads can take months to come off of. What other prescription meds have you tried to help with the symptoms?

Thanks for responding fh, I have Xanax and hydroxyzine on hand. I take those as needed to manage anxiety and post trauma sensations I am working through. I can do this!!

Thank you for reminding me. I definitely am. I'm gonna need you guys too! I'm going to do this!
Guessing in will see this at some point. So hi ol friend! I know you and our fellow cymbalta kickers will be cheering me on so thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers. I am doing 13/13 beads today for the first time going to stay with this for 3 days and then perhaps go down to 13/12.

So far I'm ok. I'm trying to find a great trauma therapist but as far as the taper I'm doing ok so far. Praise God. Slow slow steady easy....believe!

Not going well. Had a death in my circle of people and I am going back to 14/14. It's not time to try this with so much sadness around

I TOTALLY TANKED. So much going on, it's not just the attempted taper but boy did I pick a time that turned out poorly. It's ok, I will rebound. Love to all. Be careful you guys, make sure you have strong support in place. This is no joke. I am absolutely not ready. I have a more complex set of circumstances than most so don't be too discouraged but at the same time don't underestimate the power of this terrible invention they call cymbalta.

Hi Lovey...

So great to hear from you - and my apologies for the delay in responding to you.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing in your family after the "covid" incident. I still think about that and how you are doing. But as you say - there will never seem a right time to come off these things, but there will certainly be a wrong time. I think you have chosen the best route in pausing your taper.

As Hat knows, I tried to stop my Valium from 2,5mg cold turkey and man... did that hurt!! That was 3 weeks ago and I still suffering. You need to approach a withdrawal from a position of strength ever time, otherwise it is a recipe for disaster.

From what I know of you, there is a VERY strong person in there and I am confident that you will indeed "bounce back". Keep turning your eyes heaven-ward as there are plenty looking down on you and helping you through these times.

My prayers are with you my dear,

IUN
