Do you need enteric coated capsules when bead counting? If so, how do people use applesauce when out of capsules?

Decided to quit because of horrible side effects. After looking at some things online, I went to my doctor, whom I now know is clueless, for help. She said, "Most people just quit." She reduced my dose to 30 mg. per day, told me to continue that for 2 weeks, then take 30 mg. every other day for another 2 weeks. Then stop altogether. i was stupid and went from 40mg to 20 mg for a few days and then nothing. I reinstated the day after back to 40mg. The withdrawl symptoms went away after a few days but then the cymbalta flu continued for 3 weeks. I am now at the end of 4 week and feel better but not 100%.
